🧡 Gouda Takes on Home Depot! 🧡

Our boy Gouda had a big training session at Home Depot today, and he crushed it! 🐾

With carts rolling, people chatting, and all kinds of new sights and smells, it was the perfect place to practice staying focused and polite in a busy environment. He worked on loose-leash walking, ignoring distractions, and keeping his cool and he did an awesome job! 🛒🧰

Even better? We ran into a familiar face, fellow training student Sulley was also there working on his public manners! The boys both “nailed” it and showed off some serious skills. 👏🔨

We love seeing our pups putting their training to the test out in the real world. Way to go, Gouda and Sulley!

🔥 Extreme Heat Warning This Weekend – Keep Your Dogs Safe! 🔥

We’re in for some serious heat this weekend, and it’s important to remember: if you’re hot, your dog is hotter. Dogs don’t sweat like we do they rely primarily on panting and access to shade and water to stay cool. Let’s keep our pups safe!

🐾 Hot Pavement Dangers:
Pavement heats up FAST and can burn your dog’s paws in seconds.

Here’s a quick breakdown:
☀️ 85°F air = 130°F pavement
☀️ 90°F air = 138°F pavement
☀️ 95°F air = 149°F pavement

👉 Tip: Press the back of your hand to the pavement for 7 seconds. If it’s too hot for you, it’s too hot for them.

🚗 Cars Become Ovens Even With Windows Cracked:

80°F outside = 99°F in 10 minutes
90°F outside = 109°F in 10 minutes
95°F outside = 114°F in 10 minutes

Even a quick errand can turn deadly. Never leave your dog in the car.

Heat Safety Tips:
✅ Walk your dog early morning or late evening
✅ Provide shade and fresh water at all times
✅ Use cooling mats or frozen treats
✅ Limit outdoor time during peak heat
✅ Know the signs of heatstroke: excessive panting, drooling, lethargy, vomiting, bright red gums

If you suspect heatstroke, move your dog to a cool area and call your vet immediately.

🎶🐾 What a fun and meaningful day at the Downtown Thiensville Eats & Beats event!

Dawgs at Work was thrilled to join Pawsitive Pathways Charity and Seniors Helping Seniors for a day full of music, community, and connection. A few of our awesome pups came along to help raise awareness about how trained service, therapy, and emotional support dogs can make a huge difference, especially in the lives of seniors.

Some of these dogs have already received funding thanks to the generosity of donors through Pawsitive Pathways, and it was so special to have them out representing the impact your support creates.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by to meet the dogs, learn more about what we do, and chat with our team. We’re grateful for this amazing community! 🐕💛

Brie had her eyes glued to the window today—her handler stepped out for just a moment, and you’d think the world had ended! 🐾💔 She peeked through with the most dramatic stare, like a doggy soap opera was unfolding in real time.

“Where are you going? Are you coming back? Do you still love me?” — Brie, probably. 😂

Don’t worry, her handler came right back (with treats, no less), and all was well in Brie’s world again now that she could make sure all was well in the world with all men of her favorite people!

Grace strutted out of her groom appointment looking flawless—fresh blowout, perfect bandana, and… a banana? 🍌💁‍♀️

That’s right, this girl scored a post-groom banana and proudly carried it around like it was a designer handbag. And the best part? It matched her bandana. Fashion. Icon.

Grace said, “Why blend in when you were born to be a snack AND carry one?”

🎉🎂 Happy 2nd Birthday to our sweet Sophie! 🎂🎉

From her very first tail wags to now, Sophie has been a constant source of comfort, love, and light in the ministry. Whether she’s snuggling up with someone in need, offering a gentle paw, or just bringing smiles wherever she goes, this girl has a heart as big as her puppy eyes! 💛🐾

We’re so grateful for everything she brings to our community and we can’t wait to see what this next year holds.

🌊☀️ Wednesday Vibes with Gouda! 🐾🏖️

Gouda hit the beach today and had an absolute blast! From splashing in the waves to zoomies in the sand, he made the most of this sunshine-filled day. 🌞

Even with off-leash dogs running around, Gouda stayed focused and right on task — such a good boy! 💪🐶 We love seeing all his hard work in training pay off in real-world adventures like this.

Paws in the water, tail wagging, and heart full of joy 💙 That’s what we call a perfect beach day! 🌊🐾
