A huge congratulations to Jolene Last and Teddy on NEWDA year end awards! So proud of this pair as they ventured into the dressage world and had a smashing year doing it! Can’t wait to see what next year holds for them!

Last show of the season at Haygard Midsouth team challenge at the Kentucky Horse Park! We had some ups and downs over the weekend.

-Winnie and Becca were having a great go in the 2* but a little mishap and the ditch and brush ended the weekend early. Both of them are fine and will be back to fight another day! Thanks to all our friends for reaching out and checking in!

-Riley and Gem had a lovely dressage test but Gem decided she didn’t want to play out on cross country. Shoutout to Riley for her sportsmanship even though the weekend didn’t go like we had hoped! Back to the drawing board we go!

-Huge congratulations to Debbie and Waylon who had a stellar weekend to finish 3rd in the training! They put in 3 very solid phases around a very proper track for the level!

- We were able to help Kathryn and Welly who competed in the novice 3 day long format and they had great rides in all the phases!

We are looking forward to things settling down and to put in some hard work over the winter to prepare for next show season! Thank you to all our Team Birchwood supporters for all your help and support. It takes a village and we are blessed to have a pretty great one! 💙

Sundance Horse Trials was a busy one! So proud of all our riders this weekend!! We had a few extra people with us this weekend and I was so proud to stand ringside for each and everyone of them!

Debbie & Waylon- 1st
Becca & Roy - 4th
Riley & Gemily - 7th

Novice:
Kathryn & Welly - 1st
Jessie & Jax - 2nd
Krista & Gretsie - 3rd

Beginner Novice:
Brooke & Billy - 2nd
We had Becky & Ryder who had a great weekend finishing just outside the ribbons and Dawn & Gus who put in a stellar sj round and first half of the xc until they unfortunately parted ways both are fine and proud of how the course went up until that point!

It truly takes a village to be able to do this and we are pretty lucky to have such a great one in the Birchwood group! 💙

Otter Creek Fall was one for the books! Becca and Winnie put in 3 solid phases in the IP to finish 2nd! We had 2 training riders this weekend, Becca is still helping Leah out with Roy and they put in 3 solid phases continuing to work on the rideable on xc! Riley and Gem made the move up to training this weekend after putting in a lot of work this summer they put in 3 very solid phases to finish 2nd which was icing on the cake! Jessie and Jax had another great run in the novice to finish 8th! Looking forward to Sundance horse trials in 2 weeks!

-Small private farm with 10 horses
- must be comfortable handling horses
-must be reliable and at least 16yrs of age
- chores include cleaning a few stalls and dry lots when they are being used, bringing horses in and back out for grain time, filling waters inside, throwing hay out, a few other miscellaneous tasks in the barn.

Another weekend another horse show! We had 5 riders compete at Fox River Valley Horse Trials!

Ventured to Cobblestone Horse Trials in Michigan this weekend and it did not disappoint! We had Jessie, Leah, and Krista in the novice. This was their first show of the season and they all put in 3 solid phases finishing just outside the ribbons in big competitive divisions! Becca and Winnie had a solid run in the prelim to finish 6th! Onto Silverwood next weekend, show season is in full swing!

First show of the season and we knocked off the cobwebs from the winter! Had some really great rides and came back with some homework before the next show! Always a great weekend at Otter Creek Horse Trials!

A busy weekend at Sundance Farm Horse Trial! We had a few extra students with us this weekend and I couldn’t be more proud to stand ringside for all of them!

Training:
-Abbey & Betts -1st, she was also awarded the Tassimo award for her xc round!
-Debbie & Waylon - 7th

Novice:
-Riley & Gemily - 1st
-Krista & Gretsie - 6th
-Jessie & Jax put in 3 solid rounds finishing just outside the ribbons.
-Dean & Ande put in a nice dressage test and an educational xc round but Ande was a bit tired and it wasn’t their day in the sj. He’s been a tricky one to figure out but we have a good game plan for next time!

Beginner Novice:
-Kathryn & Welly - 2nd in the beginner novice championship
-Becky & Ryder - 7th
- Kendyl & Denny had a lovely dressage and sj round but had some troubles at the ditch so back to the drawing board. Proud of Kendyl for her horsemanship of giving him a pat as she walked off the course even though it wasn’t the outcome we were hoping for!

-Dawn & Gus- 3rd

Yesterday we played in hunter land at the Little Foxes Horse Shows! Nora, Olivia, and Liv all showed in the 2 ft division and had great rounds finishing in the ribbons! They showed great sportsmanship all cheering each other on! Congrats to Liv and Hodie for bringing home grand champion of the division!

We also had Jolene and Teddy compete at a dressage show bring home first in both of her classes as well! Another busy and successful weekend for team Birchwood!
