People process visuals before they read words. Meaning your brand is being judged before anyone scrolls past the first image. When photography and design work together, that first impression gets a lot easier. I help dog businesses get this right.

Strengthening a dog program often comes down to one thing: making the work more visible.

These programs already have the quality—years of training, handling, breeding decisions, and consistency behind every dog. High-quality imagery doesn’t change that work, it reveals it.

When what you do is seen clearly, your value becomes easier to understand, trust, and remember.

As stewards of the Golden Retriever breed, we often think about responsibility in more ways than just raising our own dogs well.

Sometimes that responsibility extends beyond our dogs, into moments we don’t plan for, but feel deeply honored to be part of.

Through what we do, we’re connected to a wider community of people who share a love for Goldens. Families searching for their next companion, people following our dogs from afar, and others who have found themselves in unexpected or difficult situations with a dog they once thought would be theirs forever.

Recently, we were able to help not one, but two Golden girls find their way into new homes in completely different situations. Places where they are safe, and can settle into being part of someone’s life once again.

These situations are never simple. There’s always emotion on every side. But there is something grounding about seeing a dog land softly, back into care, back into routine, back into being loved for exactly who she is.

We’re grateful for the community around us that makes moments like this possible, and for the trust it takes to let us help when things don’t go as planned.

Pictured here is Jazzy, one of the two girls. If you inquired about one of these dogs I’m sorry if you didn’t get the call this time, please stay in touch because we never know when a dog might need a home.

I’m excited to finally share my photo work from the March 2026 Ozark Hunting Retriever Association Spring Hunt Test. Images are now available to view and purchase.

A huge thank you to the club for having me. It was a great pleasure meeting everyone, and I truly appreciate the opportunity. I hope to be back again in the not too distant future.

Photographers take a lot of images, not because we don’t know what we’re doing, but because that’s what it takes.

Timing, light, and motion all have to come together in a split second. Most of the time, they don’t.

So we go through them. Hundreds, sometimes thousands. Not just looking for good, but for something more. The one that makes you stop and feel something.

I’m looking at one right now.

You’ll have to take my word for it, but it’s special. This one is going in Volume 2 of the Hunt Test Photography book for sure.

In the wild, nothing is staged. Dogs run, play, breathe, and you see who they really are.

These are the moments that turn into artwork, the pieces that hold a memory still, so years from now you can stop for a second, look up, and feel the love all over again.

For the past three years, I’ve hosted a small holiday photoshoot with a select group of individuals and their dogs. This year’s theme, Backcountry Bridge, made for a relaxed, memorable session and Mother Nature blessed us with some fresh snow. Here are a few images from the shoot.
