There’s something truly special about the way a cat can brighten someone’s day. 💛🐾

That’s why we bring our kitties to nursing homes — giving seniors a chance to enjoy the comfort and companionship that only a cat can offer.

These visits aren’t just healing for the seniors — they help our cats shine, too. We learn so much about their personalities when they connect with others in such a beautiful way.

Spending time with cats has been shown to ease anxiety, reduce stress, and lift spirits.

Unfortunately, she lost her home due to a flood caused by a hurricane, but she's ready to find her new forever kingdom. Belle is playful 9-year-old, but her true passion is lounging in a cozy spot for a long, peaceful nap. Belle is looking for a home where she can be the queen of her domain, so she must be the only kitty in the household. It’s Kitten Season! While this may sound like a cute, fluffy slice of heaven for cat lovers, it actually can be quite a challenging time of year for animal shelters. In Sarasota, we need resources and supplies year-round to support the momma cats and kittens that we care for day in and day out.

We are hosting our annual Kitten Shower and are collecting donations and supplies to prepare for Kitten Season! Your donation will allow us to provide food, shelter, and medical care for our area's tiniest feline residents. For every $150 raised, Cat Depot will be able to care for one more kitten this year.

Last year, Cat Depot rescued 602 kittens each needing medical care, spay/neuter, vaccinations, and often times, extended care in one of our dedicated foster homes until they were old enough to be adopted.

Cat Depot is proud to participate in Suncoast Remake Learning Days, contributing to the hundreds of free family-friendly events happening across Sarasota, Manatee, DeSoto, and Charlotte Counties from April 19 to May 3.

Thanks to the generous support of The Patterson Foundation, these dynamic, multi-generational learning experiences are completely free, accessible, and open to the public!
