Triple Foster Fail ❤️❤️❤️

Sometimes fostering doesn’t go quite as planned… and we LOVE when that happens.

One of our amazing foster families opened their home to three tiny tuxedo kittens—Berlioz, Marie, and Toulouse—thinking they’d give them a safe place to grow before finding their forever homes.

Well… it didn’t take long. “We absolutely love these three kittens,” they shared. “We really thought we could foster without getting so attached… but we would hate to separate them. They love each other so much and get along so well.”

What started as a temporary stay has turned into a forever commitment—this sweet trio is being adopted TOGETHER 🖤 At just around 2 pounds each, they’re still growing, still waiting for their spay/neuter surgeries, and already completely loved.

This is what a “foster fail” looks like—and to us, it’s the best kind of success. Thank you to this wonderful family for giving these babies not just a home, but a lifetime of love… together. 🐾

Make-a-Difference-Monday ✨

We have so much to be grateful for this week ❤️We’ve received an outpouring of deliveries to help with our latest kitten rescue in DeSoto County. From playpens, kitty litter, and kitten food to cat carriers and bottles for our tiniest babies—every single item is making a difference. Last week, our local Target store stopped by with a generous donation—reminding us just how powerful community support can be.

And our hearts are especially full thanks to two of our youngest supporters, future philanthropists Leona and Layna, who raised $72 at their very first lemonade stand and used it to purchase supplies for the cats. How amazing is that? 🥹

It’s kindness like this—big and small—that allows Cat Depot to continue rescuing cats and kittens throughout our community. We truly couldn’t do this without you.

Meet not one—but two deeply bonded duos still waiting for the second chance they deserve 💔🐾

✨ SnickerWhirl & Topper (Bonded in foster care, 1–1.5 years)
This young pair has already experienced more heartbreak than most cats their age ever should. Passed from home to home, returned through no fault of their own, and likely having endured unkind treatment, they found comfort in each other when everything else felt uncertain. 💔

Since arriving at Cat Depot in March 2026, they’ve begun to heal—always side by side, finding safety in their bond. They gently lean into affection, curl up together for comfort, and remind us every day just how resilient love can be. These two don’t just want a home…they need one where they’ll finally feel safe, cherished, and never let go. 💕

✨ Lago & Desdemona (6 years 7 months, siblings)
Lago and Desdemona’s story is one of quiet loss and upheaval. After the heartbreaking passing of their beloved owner, their world was turned upside down. Though they briefly thought they’d found stability again, life changed once more, and they were returned when their adopter became too ill to care for them. 💔

Now, they wait—together, as they always have been. Lago is shy at first, but in a calm and patient home, his gentle spirit shines through, leaning into soft pets and quiet companionship (often from his favorite perch atop the TV). Desdemona stays close, his constant and comforting presence. All they ask for is a peaceful home where love can finally stay. 🖤

These bonded pairs have endured so much change—but through it all, they’ve never lost their ability to love. They simply need someone to believe in them. 🏡

🐾 Cat Depot Update 🐾

We are pleased to share that Cat Depot has resumed normal operations and is open today for regular business hours.

Our Cat Care Clinic, Adoption Center, and Retail Store are all open, and the entire facility has been thoroughly deep cleaned according to our established health and safety protocols.

To help keep all of our cats healthy, only adult cats (1 year and older) will be available for adoption at this time. All healthy kittens have been responsibly placed in foster homes where they can continue to thrive in a safe environment.

We are incredibly grateful for the support of our community, the dedication of our amazing foster families who stepped up to care for so many kittens, and everyone's patience and understanding during this time.

Thank you for helping us keep our cats safe, healthy, and loved. ❤️🐱

🐾 Cat Depot Update 🐾

Out of an abundance of caution, Cat Depot will be closed to the public today while our team focuses on caring for and monitoring cats onsite. Our Cat Care Clinic remains open today.

We are currently managing a confirmed case of feline panleukopenia (FPV) and have put strict medical and sanitation protocols in place. Our top priority is the health and safety of every cat in our care. We intend to reopen tomorrow.

We want to reassure our community that situations like this are not uncommon in animal sheltering, especially during kitten season. We have trained staff, strict protocols, and veterinary oversight in place to respond responsibly and effectively.

Thank you for your understanding and continued support of our cats. 🐱💙
