Once upon a time, there was a boy named Carl… and life hadn’t always been gentle with him.
Someone made the choice to crop his ears.
A choice he never asked for.
A reminder that, at some point, humans failed him.
But Carl?
Carl chose love anyway.
His foster says that when they clip his leash on, they pause for a moment…
they rub his soft face, look into those warm hazel eyes, and tell him what a good boy he is.
And Carl believes it.
He looks at them like they’re the best thing in his world.
That’s who Carl is.
A 2-year-old, 55lb Alaskan Malamute / German Shepherd mix with the most gentle soul you’ll ever meet.
He’s easygoing, affectionate, and just wants to be near his people.
He’ll sit for you (especially if you have a treat 😄),
he’s crate trained (just toss a treat in and he’s all in),
and he’ll politely go to the door when he needs to go out.
He gets along with people and dogs, and while he’s kind and friendly, there’s no doubt…
if needed, Carl would stand by his person.
He’s got this beautiful cream and black coat, with markings that look like perfect eyeliner and a little widow’s peak—like he was designed to be this stunning.
A mix of strength and softness.
Of resilience and love.
Carl is heartworm negative, neutered, and ready for his forever home.
He’s been through enough.
Now he deserves consistency, safety… and someone who will look at him the way he looks at them.
