Tomorrow, Saturday April 26th, we will be at the Seminole Heights Pet Fest at Health Mutt and Common Dialect Beerworks! 🍺🐾

The event will have tons of local pet vendors, food trucks, beer, and of course adoptable dogs!

We will also have Love4Paws items such as t-shirts👚👕, hats/visors and Tervis cups and for sale.

Who loves Vizslas & Irish Setters?! ❤️

Meet Stella and Nash! These two are looking for forever homes, but can be adopted together or separately. They are not bonded. They are very well socialized, great with kids, cats, dogs and people 💞

🌟 Stella is a beautiful 7-year-old Vizsla and weighs 54 lbs.
🌟 Nash is a handsome 6-year-old Irish Setter mix and weighs 68 lbs.

More about Stella and Nash:
•Crate and house trained
•Know commands such as sit, stay, lay, paw
•Would enjoy a home where they can play in the yard, go for walks, and adventure
•They would do great with another dog in a home, but it is not a requirement.

They are both in Sarasota and vaccinated, microchipped and spayed/neutered. Their adoption fees are $300 each.

💜🦄 DOODLES & POODLES! 🦄 💜

It’s no secret that we always have doodles and poodles needing homes 🥰 So if that’s what you’re searching for, here’s who we currently have!

🐕 𝑻𝒊𝒂𝒏𝒂: 8 month old female Goldendoodle, who should be a standard size of 50-60lbs. Dog & cat friendly!

🐕 𝑨𝒔𝒕𝒓𝒐 & 𝑷𝒂𝒕𝒄𝒉: they are practically twins and are most likely brothers. They are in separate homes though. Black & white, mini doodles. They are approximately 10 months old and around 30-33lbs.

🐕 𝑹𝒐𝒎𝒆𝒐: 4 year old male Standard Poodle, about 50lbs. He needs another dog, fenced yard, older or no kids and someone home often. He’s very sweet, but also shy in new situations.

🐕 𝑷𝒆𝒏𝒏𝒚: 4 year old female Goldendoodle, about 45-50lbs. She’s timid but very sweet. She needs another dog, fenced yard and older kids or no kids.

All of the dogs are dog friendly and currently live with other dogs. All have been fixed, vaccinated, microchipped and are heartworm negative. They are all in the Tampa Bay Area with $400-500 adoption fees depending on age.

🐕 ⬇️ JUST GOOD DOGS! ⬇️ 🐕

Did you know we have some seriously awesome dogs who need homes?!

These dogs are generally overlooked because they aren’t purebred or don’t have curly hair, but if you love a good ole’ fashioned mutt that never goes out of style, these dogs are for you ❤️

🩵 𝐃𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐲: A slim 75lbs and 7 years young. He has been waiting since December 2023. Dog, cat and kid friendly. The most perfect dog to take everywhere with you. He loves breweries, dog bars, walks and car rides!

☀️ 𝐓𝐰𝐢𝐳𝐳𝐥𝐞𝐫: 9 months old, 35lbs. She’s an old soul. She’s a puppy, but acts like a mature adult. She’s dog, cat, kid friendly + house/crate trained. Awesome in public too!

🩵 𝐇𝐮𝐝𝐬𝐨𝐧: 1 year old, 33lb houndy boy! He’s a little scaredy cat, but thrives with his dog friends. He would love a buddy or a pack and a fenced yard. Most likely cat friendly.

☀️ 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐤𝐞𝐫 𝐏𝐨𝐬𝐢𝐞: She will steal your man 😂 Parker is 6 years old, 17lbs of sweetness and LOVES men. She needs a man in the home who wants a sidekick, because she’s going everywhere with him. Dog, cat & kid friendly.

🩵 𝐀𝐱𝐥𝐞: He dreams of a woman only home and being the only dog, but he loves his women like Parker loves her men 😂 He’s a 5 year old, 25lb sidekick.

☀️ 𝐒𝐲𝐝𝐧𝐞𝐲: We just got her! Post coming soon. She’s 10-11 years old, 40lbs and so awesome. Super friendly, loves walks, well behaved everywhere she goes, dog & kid friendly and most likely cat friendly.

🩵 𝐉𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐧𝐞𝐲: 1 year old, 34lbs and loves dogs and cats! She needs a fenced backyard and is house/crate trained. She’s a perfect doggy playmate!

All of these dogs are in the Tampa Bay Area and fixed, vaccinated and microchipped. Their adoption fees range from $150-250.

Say hello to my little friend… Linus! 🐾

This sweet baby boy was found alongside some of his siblings by a Good Samaritan who did his best to care for them. Thankfully, he reached out to one of our amazing volunteers, and that’s how Linus became a part of the Love4Paws family.

Linus is around 7-8 months old, he’s full of fun, affection, and charm. He’s great with other dogs, loves every person he meets, and he’s already working on all the good stuff:

• Crate trained and eats in his crate
• Sleeps through the night
• Learning potty training (he’s doing great, but like any puppy, he needs frequent trips outside)
• Knows how to sit
• Has excellent recall
• He’s a pro at fetch!

Linus is fostered in Sarasota and is microchipped, vaccinated, and will be neutered. His adoption fee is $300.

Adoption pending!

Clover ☘️

Two weeks ago, this mama was picked up on the side of the road by animal control. She had an abscess on her face and leg, was overbred and looked like her legs had been attacked by a dog 💔 She was so beat up, nervous and in desperate need of some TLC ❤️‍🩹

We rushed to get her from the shelter and seeing her wounds and bloody face, but still wagging her tail and trusting humans and dogs, reminded us that SHE is why we do this everyday 🥺

Fast forward ⏩ Clover is almost healed and LOVING life in her foster home full of Goldens. Anyone remember Ryder that had his toes amputated last year? She’s with him!

We are ready to look for the most loving home that will give her the world. She walks beautifully on a leash, is crate trained but can also be left out and house trained. She doesn’t jump up on people, but WILL stand up on the counters looking for food 😂 She’s a chunky girl who could use to lose probably 10lbs. She LOVES attention from people and dogs and is the most wonderful girl ❤️

Clover is 3 years old, 63lbs and is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped and HW negative. She is in Odessa and adoption fee is $400.

Leila Update! 🥳🩷

Our sweet Leila is officially 1️⃣ week post surgery and doing better than we could’ve ever imagined! 🎉 Last Friday, she had surgery to remove two toy squeakers from her intestines and was also spayed at the same time, which was a lot for her body to go through.

Leila has a history of seizures and we are scared to jinx it, but if she makes it to Monday without one, that’s two weeks seizure free 🥺

We’re so grateful for Dr. Shrode, who not only operated on her, but has worked so hard to get her seizures under control and may have found the right medication combination 💊

We also have to give a huge THANK YOU to her amazing fosters 👯, who are some of our best, and have selflessly turned their home into a medical ward while taking care of Leila & Joli 🏥 Joli is about 6 weeks out from surgery after being hit by a car and doing great. These fosters are INCREDIBLE! ❤️ Guess what? Both girls are now cat friendly too!🐱

🧁🩷 MUNCHKIN UPDATE! 🩷🧁

In just a few days, Buttercup’s 15 puppies will be 6 weeks old! They are strong, healthy puppies who are starting to form their personalities. We know who is ALWAYS playing and who is ALWAYS napping 😂

We have 8 females and 7 males. Mama is a Golden Retriever and the dad(s) remain a mystery, but we’re taking guesses 😉

🩷 8 Females: Pink Sprinkles, Apple Fritter, Eclair, Custard, Bear Claw, Beignet, Maple and Honeybun.

🩵 7 Males: Cruller, Blueberry, Cinnamon Sugar, Jelly, Cider, Long John and Boston Cream.

Our little donuts are headed to the vet the week of 04/28 at 7 weeks old. After 8 weeks on May 5th, we are going to be ready to start sending them home. Jake & Lacey need foster or forever homes!

Sadly, these two senior pups came from a home with 4 dogs (them plus 2 Labs) where their mom loved them very very much. However, she is currently in Hospice and not coming home 💔 The two labs have gone to a rescue and Jake & Lacey are in a boarding facility waiting for homes 🥺

They are wonderful, people friendly, dog friendly, well taken care of dogs. We would love to help them if we can find them homes.

Could you foster or adopt one or both? 💕

🐕 Jake: 10 year old male Golden Retriever. He’s a big boy at 86lbs and still has plenty of playful energy.

🐕 Lacey: 12 year old probably Lab/Hound mix who is tall and lean and so so sweet. She’s still playful too.

They are great with other dogs, but we don’t know about cats or kids. We could cat test, but older kids would be best given their sizes.

They are in St. Petersburg and don’t need to stay together, but we would send them together if someone wanted both 💞

Journey finished heartworm treatment! 🥳

This sweet little girl just needs to take it easy for the next 30 days, but she can now be adopted anytime! She’s spayed, vaccinated, microchipped and ready for her new home 😎

She’s only 34lbs, dog and cat friendly, and currently in Clearwater. She must have another dog in her home.

Update: no applications to foster her yet

Can we do it again? 🥺

Just like Peter Pan, we have another sweet, scared dog who is just dying to open up if someone will give her a chance ❤️‍🩹

She’s doesn’t have a name and likely has never had anyone who cared about her. About 2 months ago, she was left on the side of I-75 with another dog. Passing cars would see them, but couldn’t stop. Her friend eventually disappeared and she found her way through the woods and to a side road, where she’s been living alone. She was just trapped and is now safe from the elements, but is heading to the shelter. She will end up terrified and shaking in her kennel like Peter Pan, wondering what she did wrong to end up there 😔

She is going to the shelter on Friday. She’s a medium size brown dog with pointy ears. She’s not a Doodle or a Golden Retriever or anything fancy. But imagine if we spoiled her with a spa day, a beautiful collar and harness and a plush new dog bed - things she’s probably never had. She sure would look fancy then ❤️

We can take her if just ONE person agrees to be her foster parent. A fenced yard and another dog for confidence would help, but not mandatory. We’ll give you things to keep her secure outside. She’s in Pasco/Tampa. Videos in the comments 🥺

… Drum roll, please… 🥁

PETER PAN HAS BEEN ADOPTED! 🎉

We are SO thrilled to share this update. Last month, we saved Peter Pan from the county shelter just 4 hours before his euthanasia. When we say “we”, we really mean his foster family ❤️ We were just the rescue behind them.

We begged for a foster home for this terrified dog and we had ONE single offer. But - that’s all we needed. ONE person to say yes, give him a chance and let him move in for a while. His fosters turned out to be exceptional and just made him an official family member! 🥹

You can now find this once terrified shelter dog kayaking at the beach 🏝️ , going to armature works 🍻 or wrestling with his dog friends 🐕 He’s busy these days!

If only we could’ve told him how his life was about to change 😭

He’s a 2.5 year old, 25lb male Cockapoo who is great with other dogs and cats. He lived with kids, but will run out an open door, so older kids 10+ would be best.

If you are within an hour of Tampa or Sarasota and have the ability to get him to one of our vet clinics when needed (we can sometimes help), please let us know and complete the foster application. He is in Tampa right now.

Sweet little Hudson 🩵

This perfect medium-sized houndy boy is the sweetest, most submissive little thing. His world revolves around his dog friends and having a canine companion at all times 🐕

A few months ago, Hudson was caught in the middle of a big preserve with a rope around his neck 💔 He was skin and bones, so scared and just a puppy at only a year old. He blended right into a foster home full of dogs, learned to love comfy things like beds, blankets, couches and playing with toys. His newest trick is that he learned to give kisses! 💋😚 It’s the sweetest thing.

He is still nervous in new situations and with new people, but would never hurt a fly. He is a flight (escape) risk when he’s scared, so a house with kids 12+, a fenced yard and at least one playful dog would be the perfect match for him 🩵 He would LOVE doggy daycare, so if you already take your dog to that, we’re sure Hudson would love it too!

Hudson is only 30-32lbs and looks like a Foxhound/Beagle mix with big beautiful ears 🐶 He’s 1 year old, neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and heartworm negative. He is in Odessa/Tampa and his adoption fee is $300.

Rocky Update! 🥰

Our sweet little puppy is now 3 weeks out from jaw surgery with Dr. Smithson at The Pet Dentist and had another re-check this morning. As expected, he’s healing PERFECTLY! 🙌🏼

His next surgery is scheduled for the 28th to have the wire/appliance removed from his mouth. We are so excited for him.

Pretty soon, we are going to start looking for his forever home, so if you are interested, please let us know and complete an application ❤️

Rocky is one of the best puppies we’ve ever had and is going to be an amazing adult dog! 🐕

URGENT: Leila needs a foster home ASAP!

Our sweet Leila has had such a rough 48 hours and is recovering from a big surgery, but is actually doing really great. Unfortunately, we’ve had a change of plans and she now needs a new foster home as soon as possible.

Leila is truly the sweetest, easiest Husky ever. Everyone in the ER vet loved her because she’s a very gentle, mild-mannered Husky and we often joked that she’s a “non-Husky, husky”. She’s really petite at only 37lbs, great with all dogs and all people.

Ideally, we are looking for a home that is quiet and calm with someone home most of the time to monitor her. She does have a seizure about once a week, but just had a change in medication and we are hoping for improvement soon. She takes medication twice a day and you just need to sit with her during a seizure and help her through it. It is sad, but we’re working hard to help her get these controlled! ❤️‍🩹

She is currently in Tampa and her vet is in Tampa. We would like to keep her with that veterinarian, but can help get her to appointments depending on where you are.

This girl has had the roughest time and really needs a miracle right now. Who can help? ❤️
