Canine Adoption and Rescue League - CARL Canine Adoption and Rescue League (CARL) - a 501 (c) (3) non-profit dog rescue and NO KILL since 1996 We operate almost entirely by volunteers.

Canine Adoption and Rescue League is an IRS 501(c)(3) Private Non-Profit No-Kill Organization. We rely on donations and do not receive government, state, or city funding. Since 1996, Canine Adoption and Rescue League has rescued and placed thousands of unwanted, sick, abandoned, and homeless dogs. Dogs in our adoption program are placed in pre-screened, loving and secure homes. We make a lifetime

commitment to all of our dogs. Canine Adoption and Rescue League receives hundreds of calls from people who must find a home for a stray, a litter of puppies or even a family pet.

Amber is channeling her inner cheetah this CARLween 🐆 She likes to think she is the fastest dog at our kennel (especially when she gets excited to go for a walk and busts out some speedy zooms), and we don’t have the heart to tell her she’s not. Between her adorable bob tail, sweet personality and charming smile, we think Amber would make a great addition to any coalition (group of cheetahs) 🐾

🎃 Ketchup opted for some fire-engine red troll hair this CARLween. He wants to be clear though, that he is not representing internet trolls, but rather showing off his support for the “Trolls” movies. Ketchup is definitely a fan of movies with songs in them and likes to practice his own vocals when playing in playgroup.

If you are looking for your next “leading man” in the home then look no further! Ketchup knows how to take charge whether it’s on a pack walk or with some of his favorite dog friends. He has the vocal chops, musicality and a flair for the dramatic - everything you want in your star subject 🌟

Yeehaw! 🤠 Happy CARLween from Daisy Anne!
This high-energy cowgirl is a special guest from our friends at The Little Red Dog, boarding here at CARL while she waits for her forever home.

Daisy Anne is excitable, eager to please, and always ready to hit the trail (or the walking route) and jump into the rodeo (playgroup). For the right home, she’ll happily trade her cowgirl life for belly rubs and fun adventures…she just loves to be on the go!

Guapo the garden gnome is checking in for CARLween day 9. Even though he’s only 4 months old, Guapo has pretty much mastered the art of a quality “sit” and is statuesque when doing do (in our opinion). Plus this little gnome would LOVE to sit and observe everything around him. Ancient folklore about gnome’s says they bring good luck, and we can’t help but think this little guy would do the same 🐾

For this CARLween Santa is hoping to have a Jurassuc rebirth of his own. What does that mean you ask? After having a loving, warm home for a while, Santa has now been waiting for a second chance (a renewed existence, if you will) for years. Unlike his costume counterpart though, this Dino won’t let some of his favorite things go extinct - toys, treats and belly rubs 🐾 Santa is looking for a foster or forever home!

Was there any question what Chula would be for CARLween this year?! PikaCHU is as loyal as any of the Pokémon are. She is also smart, clever, wise and resourceful. Chula definitely considers herself the “very best” and feels like all Pokémon deserve to be “caught” by their perfect matches.

True to his Chow and Ram mix, this boy can be a little hard-headed — but once you’ve earned his trust, you’re part of his circle for life. Smokey is loyal, smart, and already knows his commands. He’s ready for a home that will keep teaching him and give him the love he deserves!

🎃 Day 3 of CARLween brings you Casper the friendly ghost! This handsome phantom is five years young and truly lives up to his moniker - he is about as friendly as they come! As he is a Pyrenees mix, really the only thing Casper looks for in a home is a space big enough for him to romp around in. Casper promises to be a respectful foster guest or forever tenant - it’s almost like you won’t even see he’s there 👻

🎃 For day 2 of CARLween we have Rudy dawning a Cat in the Hat costume 🐈 Rudy is more of a picture book kind of guy so stories like “Oh the Places You’ll Go” and of course “The Cat in the Hat” resonate with him. The former book is one of his favorites as he dreams of a foster or forever home after waiting so long. Rudy is resilient (and a cancer survivor with an amputated tail to prove it!) but he would still love to cozy up with a family in a home 🐾
