Do you have a Doodle that is hard to brush/comb?

I have been traveling a lot and been pretty busy when I have been home. I had to give Earl his time. Having a Doodle I am committing hours a week into brushing. Can you see the difference in where I have brushed him a lot?

(I do 80% of his brushing in this position. He is able to relax while being in contact with me and I don't hurt my back.)

I speak Dog. I mean that in the way someone would say, "I speak French".

I wish to teach people the language of Dog.

Dogs understand us perfectly. It is us that do not understand them.

The first thing I tell a dog when I get one for training, "Humans are the crazy ones." Humans as a group have not come to the realization that Dogs have a topic of conversation they wish to speak about. As a group, humans have been relatively unsuccessful in having a conversation with their dog. I recognize that sounds crazy or at the very least, off the wall. Invite me to your City. Come see how what I tell you is already in your head, just not in the correct order. Put your City name in the comments.

Dog training as we know it today is half correct at best. Treats yield compliance at best. I offer Communication.

Dog language is more than, "Sit. Stay. Roll Over". Dogs have their own language and the first topic of conversation is "Security". Who has what area covered. The conversation isn't instantaneous. It isn't over after one direction. It is a conversation. Understanding they have outstanding spatial awareness and dogs see lines we humans usually do not recognize as important. I speak in English because, "Dogs understand us perfectly. It is us that do not understand them."

My clients tell me two things, "it makes sense" and "I have never heard anything like this before." Consider the possibility you have never heard anything like this either. Comment with your City and I will let you know when I will be in your neck of the woods.

Living with dogs should not a rigid format. Dogs need to be able to be themselves. By speaking their language on their topic of conversation yields amazing results without treats. Without clickers. Without training collars.

Dogs have a language. Dog language as we know it today is, half correct at best. Taking into consideration what your dog is saying to you is the other half of the equation.
