Puppy Nathan had soooo much fun meeting everyone at the State of the City Event last night. He is one of the sweet, and super adorable, pets waiting to be adopted at the Santa Monica Animal Shelter.

There are so many great dogs waiting to be adopted at the Santa Monica Animal Shelter. In this post are two dogs: Bella and Mister Ree. Bella is a 3 year old French bulldog mix. Mister Ree is a 1 year old mastiff mix. They are just two of the cuties that can’t wait to meet you.

🐱🐶They have so many great animals waiting to adopted! Like sweet dog Lumi in the photo. We encourage anyone thinking of adopting a pet to please visit the shelter and meet the available animals. Click on the link tree in bio for info on the shelter and the available pets.

🐶🐱🇺🇸4th of July is a fun holiday but can be a stressful day for our furry friends. Here are some helpful tips to keep pets safe:

🐾Keep your pet indoors and your windows and doors closed. This will help dampen scary noises and keep them from running away; it is not uncommon for a pet to be scared and run away.

🐾Keep an eye on your pet to be sure they stay safe and do not get into anything they shouldn’t such as people food, sunscreen, glow sticks and alcohol.

🐾 Make a quiet and calming space in your home for your pet; a special space where they can be if they are stressed with their favorite blanket, toy etc.

🐾Make sure your pets microchip is up to date and that they are wearing their ID tags; if they do get out you want to make sure that you can be contacted and quickly reunited with your pet.

🐾Firework displays are not a fun experience for pets. So, please keep them safe and secure at home.

Happy girl Ladybug was the highlighted pet at last night’s City of Santa Monica - Government City Coucil meeting. She is available for adoption at the Santa Monica Animal Shelter. Ladybug is adorable, has lots of playful energy and loves to run and play. She also enjoys relaxing and is very affectionate.

Meet Strawberry Swirl, she’s waiting to be adopted at the Santa Monica Animal Shelter. Strawberry Swirl gets an A+ at cuddling, for being such a sweet lil’ lady and for being so adorable. She also wins today’s award for best smile😍
