This is Odin. Next-level handsome. Maximum friendly. Mildly unaware he’s built like a linebacker.

This guy lives for connection. At a recent adoption event, he worked the crowd like a pro—schmoozing with strangers and generally having the time of his life. He’s social, playful, and radiates "fun best friend energy" at all times. Odin doesn’t just enter a room; he happens to it.

Social? Absolutely. Subtle? Not even a little.

He has done well with other dogs here at the shelter, though his play style leans toward boisterous and bouncy—think sumo wrestler meets golden retriever. He’d do well with another fun-loving pup close to his size who can either keep up or gently set a few ground rules. A meet-and-greet is always required to make sure the vibes are right.

He’s looking for a home that embraces his big-hearted, big-dog energy —ideally with sturdy furniture, sturdy humans, and maybe a dog sibling who’s cool with body slams and enthusiastic friendship.

And did we mention how ridiculously good-looking he is? Like, calendar-worthy. Cover model. That kind of handsome.

🛥 Happy Tails: I'm on a boat edition! 🛥

From shelter floor to seafaring lore - Gerald has officially traded in his kennel for a cabin cruiser and goes by Captain Sillie Willie now. Please address him accordingly. 🧭🐾

Six months ago, he was unsure of the world... now he's out here catching sea breezes, barking at seagulls, and wondering why kibble doesn't come with caviar.

His adopter's say: "Hi all. We wanted to send you pictures of Gerald on our boat. He’s been renamed Willie, or Sillie Willie. After six months of slow progress, he is adapting well but everything takes time. Daily walks, play dates, lots of encouragement is needed but it is paying off. This is the first time that he has been on a road trip and he nailed it! Kudos to our Scottie girl for teaching him the ropes. Thank you for the opportunity to nurture this little gem!"

Honestly? He's gone full boat dog and there's no going back. Catch him at the marina if you can. But bring treats. And maybe a captain's hat.

🐾 Foster Friday: Meet Pocket! 🐾

Pocket is currently soaking up the good life in a loving foster home, but what he really dreams of is a forever home to call his own. This gorgeous 4-year-old male, black cat is the perfect blend of independent and affectionate. 🐈‍⬛

His current fosters say he has discovered his favorite thing ever: a stick toy with swappable attachments! He zooms up and down the stairs like a panther on a mission. And when he's done with his workout? He’s all about the snuggles—lap naps, bed cuddles, and serious purring included.

While we usually recommend cats stay indoors, Pocket is one of those special souls who would truly thrive in an indoor/outdoor home—somewhere he can lounge in sunbeams inside and explore the great outdoors safely.

If you’ve got a cozy couch, a yard to wander, and room in your heart, Pocket might just be the perfect fit. 💛

BIG DOGS NEED HOMES.
Like, actual homes. With roofs. And reinforced couches.

These lovable land hippos have been chilling at the shelter for way too long—plotting snack heists, stealing beds, and pretending they’re lap dogs (they’re not, but don’t tell them that).

Here’s the deal:
🦴 They take up space.
🦴 They snore like chainsaws.
🦴 They shed like it’s their side hustle.
🦴 And they will follow you into the bathroom like it’s a team-building exercise.

But they’re also sweet, loyal, hilarious weirdos who just want someone to love and a yard to gallop through like a furry freight train.

🚨 RULE BREAKERS AHEAD 🚨

Okay, okay… we know we always say "indoor only" for our cats. It’s the safest, healthiest choice. BUT… sometimes, life throws you a furball that doesn’t play by the rules. 😼

Meet our Three Outdoor Dreamers:
🌿 Casey – Part panther, part gardener. Loves to sunbathe on the deck like it’s his job.
🌾 Willoughby – A philosopher in a fur coat. Needs space to roam while contemplating life (and squirrels).
🌼 Pocket – The tiniest explorer with the biggest sense of adventure. Think “backyard gnome,” but fluffier.

These three would thrive with safe, supervised outdoor access—like a catio, leash walks, or a secure yard. Indoor-only life just isn’t cutting it for them, and we want them to be happy and home.

💜 Happy Tails: Elbow (now Iris!) 💜

Our sweet girl Elbow has traded in her quirky name for something a little more graceful - Iris! And honestly, it suits her perfectly. 🌸

Her new family says: "Thanks for checking in! “Elbow” is now named Iris and she’s the perfect addition to our family. We love her so much! She’s a sweet, smart, brave little girl who snuggles under blankets and on laps once she’s worn herself out playing with everyone and everything in the house. She’s just the buddy our other cat Aster needed and as a bonus she’s also her mini me. 😆 Thank you so much for the work you do!" 🐾

We’re so happy Iris found a loving home where her personality can shine. 💫
