Puppy shot day for the Karakachan pups here at Homesteading 4 HIS Glory... also doing some leash training with it... some of them were having a fit about the leash even though it's not new but that's what training is for😁
These 4 pups are looking for farm guardian work and are ready to go! They are around goats with kids, chickens and bunnies. Can introduce them to Hair Sheep as well.
AKDA Registered, microchips, parents hip tested and are on our homestead.

Ok... so this was supposed to be yogurt...however it separated into curds and whey in the dehydrator... so I drained it with a potato sack towel overnight and this was the result... a very creamy cheese... it's almost like chevre!!! Learning about temperatures, amount and strength of cultures, timing of different steps

So Michael has been having great fun making yogurt from milking our three goats. And we are having a great time sticking it in anything we can think of from granola parfaits, mashed potatoes, and tonight I got the grand idea to stick it in the gravy I was making for my mashed potatoes. Oh my goodness! Yummmmmmmy! Our daughter, Anna was practically licking her plate and then the girls disappeared from the table and I look over towards the kitchen and both girls had both their hands in the skillet, licking up the gravy lol

First time making Queso Fresco and very happy with the results. It was better the 2nd day and even better the 3rd day. I used yogurt as the culture and rennet to coagulate... now we have more yogurt in the dehydrator... trying to decide the next cheese to try. Having problems getting Clabber to work so going to stick with other cheeses for now... thinking about paneer, quark or chevre.

Straining some fresh goat yogurt to make some Greek yogurt and see which way we like it better... we had 2 quarts in the dehydrator for 24 hours and one quart for 30 hours to see the difference in that as well... right away I see the 30 hour yogurt separated the curd from the whey more...(30 hour is on the right in the Pic)
