Selling good horses isn’t for the faint of heart. I had the privilege of having Biscuit and Bluey in my barn, and it’s pretty tough to walk by their empty stalls in the barn this morning.

The thing that makes it a little easier is knowing how much joy they will bring to their new owners. Congratulations to both buyers, and thank you for believing in my program. Some of my favourite people now own two of my favourite horses ♥️

Biscuit found his perfect home with Kristal Wicker and Matthew Wicker. Kristal got to spend time with Biscuit from the moment we brought him home to Az and it was love at first sight. He’s going to have the best life in your barn and I am so excited to be a part of his story.

Ken & Shannon Lord Matheson had also spent lots of time with Bluey. Ken even riding him at the WSTR Finale last year. Bluey went home with them on Saturday night after the sale, and I am so excited to see what Ken and Bluey get done together in their future.

The best part about these sales is that I will still get to see these two horses all the time. The Wicker’s and the Matheson’s are no strangers to our arena, and I’m thrilled to cheer them on!

Thank you of course to Rancho Rio for giving us trainers a place to showcase and sell our great horses. This sale is THE TOP TEIR, and I’m honoured to be invited.

Bluey is a BIG TIME HEAD HORSE. Bluey is one of the fastest horses I’ve ever rode across the line. Scores like a statue, can really run and has a very snappy face. We have hauled him all over the United States at the jackpots, major ropings and rodeos. Bluey is a proven winner in the roping pen. Whether it’s behind a World Series barrier or a rodeo with a rope barrier where you have to score the steer out. This gelding is built to last, and tough as nails. If you’re looking for a rope horse that can go to work, Bluey is your guy. He’s been used in all aspects of ranch work. He can really cover ground out on the ranch, use him to sort calves, drag calves to the branding pot, or go to work in the feedlot. This guy is always up for a big day of work. He is so easy to have around and can be turned out in a herd setting or live in a stall quietly. Bluey is happy to be caught, will stand tied quietly, easy to warm up. Really no funny business at all. He’s definitely a barn favorite. Keep a lookout this winter in Arizona because if we are at the jackpot, Bluey is definitely with us. SOUTH TEXAS C**T 45 “Biscuit” 2018 Dun gelding that stands 14.3 HH. Biscuit is a solid thick boy, that can get a job done! He’s been an absolute pleasure to have in our barn. His baby doll head, and perfectly put together body turns heads anywhere we go. Biscuit is a charmer, and is so friendly and personable. Absolutely anyone can ride him. He’s safe, safe!! Whether it’s on the trails or in the roping pen, nothing bothers this gelding even with time off. He’s extremely broke with all the buttons and has been rode outside through all terrain. Biscuit is a very nice head horse. Runs strong & flat, handles cattle with ease and has a snappy face. Biscuit is strong to the horn, and has a very nice stop. At 14.3HH he’s the perfect size to hop on and off of. If you can swing a leg over a horse, you will get along with him. This guy is absolutely suitable for any level of Roper, but has the speed and athleticism to compete at a high level when asked. If you want an all-around horse, or a great jackpot head/heel horse, Biscuit is your guy. He is coming 7 in 2025, and has a bright future ahead of him no matter what his job is Biscuit was one of my main jackpot horses this summer, and I plan to haul him this winter too, so be on the lookout for him at the winter ropings in Arizona.
