Jelly's Place Jelly's Place is a nonprofit animal rescue and no-kill shelter located in San Pablo CA. Our shelter is open at 2905 San Pablo Dam Rd, San Pablo CA.

Jelly's Place was founded in 2017 to be an advocate for the lives and dignity of urban animals who are homeless, abandoned, impounded, sick, or injured, by providing responsible care, placement, and community education with the commitment to the No-Kill philosophy. Jelly's Place serves West Contra Costa County and especially the cities of Richmond and San Pablo. Jelly's Place is a 501c(3) communit

y nonprofit organization and donations are tax deductible. Jelly's Place depends on donations and grants, and volunteers to foster and care for animals. Animals are cared for by volunteers in their homes. Its founder, Julie Bainbridge, has been rescuing and fostering animals since childhood. She has rescued, fostered, and /or raised all kinds of animals, including baby squirrels, raccoons, pigeons, chickens, geese, ducks, skunks (yes- skunks), wild and tropical birds, pigmy goats, mice, snakes, rabbits, dogs, and cats. Jelly's Place is named in memory of her beloved English Bulldog who crossed over the Rainbow bridge in 2016.

REUNITED ❤️
This sweet dog was lost for 2 weeks. The owners had come to Jelly's Place to see if hr was here (not here at the time), and they decided to come back and check again this week.
The dog was later brought in to Jelly's Place, and the microchip wasn't registered, so we couldn't track his owner.
The family lives in San Pablo, but the dog was found in Berkeley and then brought to us about 3 days ago.

Why people would take it to another city and county is beyond me. Normally, it will make it harder to be found. Please don't do that. Thankfully, this time, it worked, and we had him when his pawrents came looking.
Poor guy was emaciated and constipated but now he'll be ok. We urged the family to register the chip.

So many cuties! Solange, Beyoncé, Goose, and Betty White have been patiently waiting for their furever homes.
These sweet, happy dogs would love a soft lap or cozy couch to watch TV with their special people, or playtime with toys ,or a walk around the block.
They get along with other dogs and may welcome a feline sibling too (we can test).
They are vaccinated, chipped, and spayed. Give them a chance. They are perfect for apartments and small homes!

FOSTER or ADOPTER NEEDED: Look at me, I'm Sandra Dee! I am a sweet, gentle, middle-aged Frenchie girl who loves people and especially their laps! I was surrendered to a high kill shelter, and thankfully, Jelly's came and got me! I am potty trained, quiet, and just looking for a soft place where I will be safe and loved.

Meet Jerome ❤️
FOSTER NEEDED! Jerome is a very playful and loving puppy. He gets so excited to run around and play with toys, and then loves to nap in your lap or in a warm, sunny spot. We don’t expect him to get much bigger, and think that he will likely grow to be around 15 pounds. He is extremely intelligent, and has already learned to sit! Since he is just a puppy, he will still need some basic training, but he will definitely be a joy to work with.

Jerome was brought in as a stray and reported to the county. His stray hold is up and he's available for adoption.

The adoption fee will include his neuter, vaccines, and microchip.

Meet Harley ❤️ He's sponsored!
Harley is a gorgeous 4 yo black and white pittie boy. Harley is a smart, happy, affectionate and playful dog who loves going for walks, running in the play yard and hanging out with his favorite humans. He always has a smile on his face and is so excited to see you that he makes you feel that you are the most important person in his life. Harley is always ready for an adventure, walks great on a leash, is eager to please and food motivated. He knows basic commands and has the cutest tail wag ever while he's waiting for treats.

Harley is also an excellent babysitter for our resident puppies! He is gentle and patient and will show them the ropes. He is also very dog friendly and spends many days playing with his dog friends in the playyard.

The ideal home for Harley would be with an active family who like to take long walks and hikes as well as hang out on the couch at night watching movies together. He would do well with or without a doggie sibling.

Harley is UTD on vaccines, neutered and microchipped. Applications can be submitted online.

Bob and Bryce both came to us in bad shape and have been lovingly nurtured into these beauties. Bob is a little shy but both will be great family pets.

Bartholomew is a very sweet and affectionate lap dog. He is a mature guy at about 8 years old. As sweet as he is, he's also a shy guy who's nervous adound certain men. He is fine with our male staff.

We take in dogs and cats from the public, from high kill shelters as space allow, and we also partner with other rescues such as Slaughterhouse Survivors in Harbin China, to educate the public about the plight of animals in the meat trade, and to help rescue them and give them a second chance.
