SPARKS (now Lola)

Sweet Lola has landed the perfect forever home with the Pires family. With three kids and three dogs, Harley, Lucy, and Toni, life is full, fun, and always on the go. This busy family loves sports, adventures, and including their dogs in everything they do. Lola fits right in, playing with her furry siblings and joining the kids on walks. From the start, it was clear she had found her people.

GINNY (now Poppy)

Poppy is living a beautiful, peaceful life with her new mom, Annette, in stunning Carmel. Poppy enjoys daily walks, bike rides around town, and sandy strolls along the beach. She has also made a new feline friend named Larry, and the two are learning to share their space together. Poppy’s days are filled with fresh air, love, and the kind of companionship every dog dreams of.

BITSY

Bitsy is truly living her best life with Sergei, Helen, and her new best friend Pushkin. Bitsy and Pushkin have become fast friends, they adore each other and are rarely apart. With grandkids visiting often, Bitsy gets plenty of extra love and attention. As a bonus, the family’s son is a veterinarian, so Bitsy will always have the very best care. Long walks and lots of affection have made her one very happy girl.

BUDDY (now Coco)

Coco has joined the Soto family and is soaking up every bit of love. With a devoted mom, two teenage sisters, and canine sibling Cookie, Coco is getting wonderfully spoiled. She is thriving in her new home and clearly loving life as part of a busy, caring family who adores her.

We are beyond grateful that each of these precious puppies has found such incredible forever homes. Watching them grow, thrive, and be so deeply loved is exactly why we do what we do.

As we say goodbye to 2025, we pause to reflect on all we have to be grateful for. This year, AARF had over 100 adoptions and countless street rescues reuniting lost pets with their families.

To our incredible volunteers, foster families, adopters, and supporters, thank you for making this year's miracles possible. Happy New Year to our amazing animal-loving community! Here's to 2026 and to saving even more precious lives together.

🐾🩷🐾 HAPPY TAILS - MISO & TOFU 🐾🩵🐾

We're thrilled to share that Miso and Tofu were adopted together! These sweet siblings were part of a litter of five kittens who came to us earlier this year at just four weeks old, along with their mom cat. Now, Miso and Tofu are starting their next chapter with a wonderful family where they'll have kids to grow up with. We couldn't be happier knowing these besties will stay together forever, bringing double the joy, double the purrs, and double the love to their new home. Congratulations to Miso, Tofu, and their new family!

Most of our kitties we save are from euthanasia at shelters both locally and surrounding areas, as well as found orphaned, sick or abandoned right here in our own community. 🐾🛟 SURVIVAL STORIES - BRAD PITT 🛟🐾

Meet BRAD PITT! This gorgeous orange fluffball stole our hearts the moment we met him! Brad Pitt came to us from a local shelter that had planned to TNR him, but one look at this sweet baby told us he deserved a chance at being someone’s cherished pet. He is currently receiving treatment for ringworm and will be ready for his forever home soon! Ringworm is a very common and completely treatable skin condition (it’s not worms!)Brad Pitt will be his extra-handsome self very soon!

We're thrilled to announce that our Siamese brothers, Alex and Jasper, were adopted! These striking look-alikes stole our hearts when they arrived earlier this year and we're so happy they get to continue their journey together. Watching them grow has been pure joy and now their new family gets to experience that magic every single day. We are so happy these very bonded boys now have their own human boy to grow up with! Happy life, sweet boys! 🩵

We're thrilled to announce that Sushi has found his forever home, just in time for the holidays! 🎄❤️

Sushi was the last of his litter waiting for his special family, but good things truly come to those who wait. He's now living his best life with wonderful new parents and a big kitty brother named Bubbas to show him the ropes! This is what the season is all about – love, family, and second chances. Sushi's forever home wish has been granted, and our hearts couldn't be fuller.

🎄🐾 The AARF Giving Tree 🎄🐾

WOW! The community has really been pouring out the love for so many of our fostered dogs and cats and sending in gifts for them! We are so overwhelmed with gratitude!

There are still about 35 AARF foster pets hoping to be chosen for a special gift too. You can visit our website at aarflove.org to see all the virtual ornaments of who still has their wishes up. You can select a tag and fulfill a wish for one of these remaining dogs or cats.

The AARF Headquarters will be open both Saturday and Sunday from 12-3pm for gift drop offs. We are located at 16375 Monterey Rd, Morgan Hill.

Sometimes love finds us when we need it most. Emilie is the stunning torti who came back to us after her person sadly passed away. Emilie needed some space from the hustle and bustle of a multi-cat foster home, so we moved her to a quieter setting. It didn't take long for her foster to discover what we already knew, Emilie is absolutely irresistible! It's official: Emilie has found her forever home! This gorgeous girl gets exactly what she wanted – a devoted human all to herself and a peaceful kingdom to call her own. We couldn't be happier for this beautiful match.
