Wanna get some practice in???

Saturday at Manzanita Park in Prunedale, SMART will be sponsoring a practice ring. All you have to do is show up and pay the Trial Secretaries and you can use food or toys in the ring!!!

This is an excellent opportunity to get some real time practice!

Blew Bayou - 8/18/18-3/9/25

Bob and Julie Daigle have been a MHDogSports staple for more years than I can remember. Before Blew, There was Amber and Lula. Blew is litter mate to Laura's Art3mis and Vici's Pyrotechnic. We raised our babies together. Just like siblings, we love each other and fight like brothers and sisters. But through it all, Bob is family and we care deeply about him and Julie.

Bob and Julie had to say goodbye to their Blew on March 9. It is heartbreaking on so many levels.

Bob and Blew have achieved amazing things in their very short career. But we remember Blew from when Bob just started training her. When the training didn't go as planned, he persisted. When physical issues got in his way, he persisted. When a wrench got thrown into the works, he persisted. Blew thrived under Bob's training and her accomplishments are Bobs accomplishments.

We are so very Proud of Bob and Blew. There are so many wonderful memories, but the time was too short. Blew was only 6.5 years old. I've included a link to Bobs Page to read Blew's story and accomplishments.

Save the Date: March 23 - Celebration of Life for Diane Grundy. At MHDogsports (will be moved if rain).

Please join us to remember our friend and student Diane Grundy. Her family will be joining us and we are looking forward to hearing all the great memories. We know she will be there in spirit.

We are going back to the 80s!!!!
Jan 31-Feb 2, 2025 Thorsons Arena

UKI Festival!

Teams should be thinking about team names that bring back the feel of the 80s. For TEAM we will be playing your team song, so find your theme, select a song and we will be collecting your songs on a google sheet. Our DJ will be playing your song when you run relay. Van Halens "JUMP" is already taken, but OMG the 80s! So many songs to choose from. Songs that are not of the era will not be played...so make sure you pick your 80s favorites.

Think Hammer pants! Madonna, MJ, Flash Dance, Ghost, Farrah Faucet Hair! Miami Vice, Cindi Lauper...Mick Jaggar!!!Boy George Grace Jones...Can't forget Prince!

Jane Fonda and Richard Simmons will be there for a photo Op at our 80s Photo backdrop. We might be able to talk them into coming over to the Podium for a few photos as well.
We will be rewarding big Hair, 80's outfits, Creativity.
If you were born after the 80s, talk to your folks...they might not want to admit it, but they were there, and they had BIG Hair, torn sweat shirts, wanted to dance at night but also Be welders during the day, They wanted to do pottery with a ghost behind them, or go to somewhere everyone knows their name!
So many fun things about the 80s. You pick, we will deliver.
Come join us for the fun of a festival and the excitement of the Agility Runs!

We have room for about 50 more people and their dogs. The festival will close on January 16. But if we meet our run counts, we will close earlier.

Plan your year for these WONDERFUL judges!

Today we lost one of our own. Diane Grundy played with her dog Sunny (Sunshine is his formal name) with joy and humor. Many of you have met her or saw her at trials. Sunny (medium sized Australian Doodle) is a perfect dog for her running with enthusiasm and kept Diane on her toes.

We are devastated to say the least. Diane has been a fixture at Morgan Hill Dog Sports for many years. She started with Laura at another facility and I remember having a conversation with Laura about Diane. Diane didn't want to tug with her golden (this was before Sunny). The golden was too strong for her. We discussed having Diane use a ball. Then Laura found out her age and texted me. At the time she was in her late 70s.

Diane trained with us multiple times per week and between Laura's and my classes she got plenty of field time. Diane played agility until last July when she started not to feel right. We had hoped she would be able to come back and play, but the stars were not aligned for her return.

Diane loved Morgan Hill Dog Sports and made many friends here. We have the "Old Farts class" on Friday for which she was a proud member.

Diane was 90 at her passing. She was surrounded by friends and her dog Sunny. Diane's daughter has become quite fond of Sunny these past few months and Sunny will be living a wonderful life in Carmel, CA with Diane's daughter.

Diane was a strong woman with such a full life. Her family is very lucky to have had her in their life. MHDogSports was extremely lucky to have Diane call us her agility home.

We miss her and Sunny and all I can say is, "Life is fleeting, enjoy every moment."
