Another Miranda’s survivor living the good life…
We couldn’t wait to share this week’s story with you.
Jaqueline FINALLY found her home! For those of you who don't know she is the gray pitty smiling in the middle of her new pack.
Jaqueline first came to the San José Animal Care Center as a stray and spent months waiting for someone to choose her. She received care, enrichment, exercise and plenty of love from our staff and volunteers but was very stressed in her kennel. She was later transferred to rescue.
After the situation with Miranda’s Rescue was initially exposed, our shelter immediately ended our partnership with the organization. Jaqueline had been at the rescue for five weeks and was one of four of our shelter dogs still there who we brought back into our care. Once back at our shelter, she was still having trouble finding a home again.
And then stepped up for Jaqueline. ❤️
Dogwood’s president/founder became Jaqueline’s foster, opening her home and giving this sweet girl the time, love, and support she needed to settle in.
Somewhere along the way, Jaqueline stopped being a foster dog and became family. So earlier this week, they made it official.
We are so grateful to Dogwood Animal Rescue for saying yes to Jaqueline, for opening their home to her and, most importantly, for realizing that this girl was already exactly where she belonged.
After everything she has been through, Jaqueline has finally found her forever family, her forever home, and her forever pack.
Happy tails, Jaqueline. We are so happy you are safe and sound in your wonderful furever home!
