Meet Grayson and Tiger…two true dancing kittens! Their foster sent us adorable video clips to show off their playful antics and spread the word about how charming they are!

Grayson and Tiger are 4-month-old bonded siblings, and they’re the perfect mix of sweet and fun. Grayson is the big brother. He’s gentle, polite, and abundantly playful. While he might hang back a bit at first meet, it doesn’t take long for his loud purr motor to kick in. He’s a curious little guy too! Whether you're sweeping or scooping the litter box, he’ll be right there supervising your every move. He gets along beautifully with other cats, kids, and just about anyone he meets.

Tiger, the smallest of their litter of five, is full of personality. She’s sweet, spunky, and absolutely loves to play. She’s also a pro at finding the best up high napping nooks! While she’s a little more independent, once you earn her purrs, she’ll keep them coming nonstop. Watching her grow into a confident little kitty is pure joy!

Grayson and Tiger are adoptable as a bonded pair, and they’re ready to bring endless good vibes and love into your life!

What does it mean when a cat is FIV+? We often have adoptable cats who have tested positive for Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV), which causes a weakening of a cat’s immune system. Most cats that have FIV live long, normal lives, both in quality and longevity.

Adopting an FIV+ cat isn’t much different than adopting any other cat, though you may need to monitor their health a bit more closely than FIV- cats. Make sure you keep up-to-date on vaccines and routine vet exams so that the cat can be monitored for infections and dental issues. We recommend that for safety, all pet cats remain indoors, but FIV+ cats should especially remain indoors where they are safe from infections that could compromise their immune systems.

Cat-friendly FIV+ cats can live in multi-cat household without resident cats contracting the virus! The virus is not contagious except through deep bite wounds, blood, or inherited from their mother. For that reason, you might even see adoptable FIV+ cats at our adoption lounge! We hope to continue raising awareness about FIV+ kitties and get these deserving cats into their safe forever homes.

The Dancing Cat is thrilled to announce that, thanks to your kindness and generosity, we have exceeded our goal and have raised an incredible $107,692 in individual donations and corporate matching funds during our 10-Year Anniversary fundraiser! With the addition of our challenge grant's matching funds, we raised a total of $207,692! These funds will cover most of our veterinary bills so far in 2025, which are $261,790.

These donations are in honor of the over 1,800 cats we have rescued and the people who made that possible in the last decade. We are looking forward to the next era of rescue work and community partnerships on behalf of the cats who need us the most. But today, we dance with joy 🎉

Karaoke popping back in to remind you that Crafty Cats Club is this Sunday!

Any day is a great day to start a new project or advance another you are excited about! The Dancing Cat offers a cozy, comfy, cat-filled space for you to give your hand-crafted art some quality time, while hanging out with good company and adorable cats!

Join us in the lounge for our crafting circle. Bring your fiber-based project and connect with fellow creators -- swap tips and resources, learn new techniques, share your art, or just hang out and support one another. Crocheters, knitters, cross stitchers, embroiderers, felters and more! All skill levels with a love for fiber art are welcome.

Clear the Shelters is back! NBCUniversal Local's nationwide pet adoption and donation campaign encourages people to adopt from their local shelters and rescues. Each year, more than 100,000 animals are adopted from shelters and rescues that participate and The Dancing Cat is stoked to participate again this year.

We will be featuring our adoptable cats all month in the hopes that their forever families will see the post that leads them to their beloved new family member.

Meet Disky! If you’re looking for a serene, playful cat who values her independence and adores her daughter, Disky could be your perfect match. The two are inseparable and often wrestle or play in the cutest, most synchronized way. Watching them together is pure joy. Disky also has a soft spot for cardboard boxes, where she loves to lounge and observe her surroundings.

Karaoke, the ultimate bundle of partying and fun! Karaoke enjoys being around both kids and other cats, making her the perfect fit for a lively family. While she’s doesn’t always ask for affection, if you initiate playtime, she’s all in, ready to pounce and entertain. Karaoke also has an adorable habit of curling up for naps on top of a large stuffed dinosaur, adding even more charm to her playful personality.

Meet Betty Jo and Kathy Jo! These 4‑month‑old bonded tuxedo sisters are affectionate home companions and budding adventure buddies! They’ve made fantastic progress with leash and harness training, showing the curiosity and temperament suited for gentle outdoor excursions with you.

Betty Jo has a zest for life that’s truly contagious! Betty Jo's favorite pastime is wrestling with her sister. She's also an aspiring mountaineer, constantly seeking out the highest shelves and perches to survey her kingdom. Betty Jo will fearlessly greet new faces, making her a charming host in any home!

Kathy Jo may come off as cautious at first, but soon turns into a loyal shadow, following you from room to room and simply enjoying being with you. One of Kathy Jo's most luxurious qualities is her incredibly soft fur thanks to Betty Jo's constant grooming…a testament to their strong sisterly bond!

If you’re searching for a bonded pair of playful, house-trained kitties who will make everyone in the neighborhood stop and say, “Wait, is that a cat…on a leash?!," Betty Jo and Kathy Jo are your dream companions!

Enjoy a fun and creative morning amidst the adorable, adoptable cats at The Dancing Cat as we break out the brushes and welcome back watercolor. This special class will be led by San José artist, Brian Booton. Beginning with a few fundamentals, Brian will guide guests as they cultivate imagination and creativity. Bring an image of your feline family member for inspiration, or let the cats of the lounge be your muse, as you create an unique artwork of your own.

Workshop Fee: $40 (includes materials – and creative critique by a few cats =^.^=)
