Our community has been showing up in a big way, and we couldn’t be more grateful. ❤️

From wishlist donations arriving for kitten season, to the Taylorsville High Key Club handcrafting dog toys for our shelter pets, to the team at CHG Healthcare/Locumsmart assembling 60 supply bags for cats in our care, your generosity is making a real difference.

If you’re still looking for a way to help, our most-needed item right now is cat carriers. New or gently used carriers can be dropped off or shipped to Salt Lake County Animal Services at 511 W 3900 S, Salt Lake City, UT 84123. You can also find carriers and other needed supplies on our Amazon Wishlist linked in our bio.

Thank you for helping us care for the animals who need us most. 🐾

WOW. ❤️

Because of your incredible support at Bingo Night at T.F. Brewing, we raised $4,528 for our Injured Animal Fund!

These funds will help provide lifesaving medical care for animals who come through our doors needing extra support, including emergency surgeries, fracture repairs, advanced diagnostics, medications, wound treatment, and rehabilitation. This fund allows us to say “yes” to animals who need a second chance when every moment matters.

To everyone who purchased a bingo card, donated, volunteered, shared the event, or simply showed up to support our mission, thank you. You are directly helping injured animals receive the care they need to heal and find loving homes.

A special thank you to for hosting us, opening up your space, and helping create a night we won’t soon forget. Your generosity, support, and commitment to our community made this event possible, and we’re so grateful to have partnered with you for such a meaningful evening.

Keep an eye out for future events like this. Together, we’re making lifesaving efforts possible for the animals who need us most. 🐾

At Salt Lake County Animal Services, every team member plays a role in helping animals—and that means being prepared for the unexpected.

Recently, staff from across the shelter participated in pet CPR training led by our Humane Education Coordinator and Clinic team. From Animal Control Officers and Veterinary staff to Customer Service, Animal Care, and even Marketing, everyone receives ongoing training because emergencies can happen at any time, and any one of us may be called upon to help.

These trainings help ensure our team is equipped with the knowledge and confidence to respond when animals need us most.

A special shoutout to our Humane Education Coordinator for sharing her expertise and helping our staff continue to learn lifesaving skills. We are grateful for the dedication she brings not only to our team, but to the animals in our care every

Shoutout to Banjo and Yosemite for letting our staff learn to find their pulse! ❤️

After a long wait, Tinka finally found her forever home 💕

This sweet girl spent far too long waiting for the right family, but her happy ending was worth it. Watching long-term shelter dogs finally walk out the doors and into loving homes is one of the best parts of what we do at Salt Lake County Animal Services.

Happy tails, Tinka — your next chapter starts now 🐾

We’re running low on critical supplies like bottles, Miracle Ni***es, Warmies, and other essentials used to care for our most vulnerable kittens. Every item donated helps save tiny lives and gives these babies the care they need to grow strong.

⚠️ Please stay alert, our community is seeing reports of scammers targeting people with lost pets. These messages may claim a shelter has your pet and ask for payment or personal information to get them back.

Please remember:
• Never send money through suspicious texts or messages
• Verify information directly through official shelter channels
• Report scam attempts when possible

We know losing a pet is emotional, and scammers take advantage of that. Help us spread awareness by sharing this post to keep our community informed and protected. 🐾
