On Monday, we were invited to be part of The Larry H. Miller Company Season of Service event, where we partnered with Humane Society of Utah to support our neighbors and their pets.
Together, we spent the evening providing services to the community, and Ruff Haven was able to vaccinate 23 pets!

A big shoutout to our amazing volunteers and our wonderful friends at Animal Care of Davis County for helping make it all happen. We’re truly honored to stand alongside such caring partners and volunteers.

Thank you to everyone who helped create such a warm, compassionate space for our community. 💚

As we count down to Giving Tuesday (just a week away!), our focus is zeroed in on making sure pets in crisis can get urgent veterinary care when they need it most.

Our Urgent Care Program offers free veterinary support for pets with urgent but treatable medical needs. Today, we’re excited to share we're only $2,500 away from fully funding SIX MONTHS of this incredibly needed program!

Ginger almost didn’t make it. She developed pyometra, an infection of the uterus, and without urgent surgery she would have passed away. Ralph, who lives at a Homeless Resource Center, was sent to us by another ER because he couldn’t afford care. Ralph hadn't been able to afford to get Ginger spayed, which would have prevented the deadly infection.

Our amazing vet partner, Wasatch Community Clinic, discounted the surgery, and your donations helped cover the rest. Many of these gifts came in honor of Scout's 8th birthday on Sunday, just in the nick of time.

Ralph arrived with $36, everything he had. Because of this community, Ginger got the care she needed and went home yesterday safe and healing. Thank you for saving two lives! 💚💚

We’re so excited to welcome Brush, Bath and Beyond - Pet grooming with love to our volunteer grooming family!

They’ll be joining Pups groom train love and Ruff Haven to help provide free grooming services for pets in need. And yes, they even offer cat grooming too!

With their addition, we now have three amazing locations offering free grooming through our community program, helping pets feel clean, comfortable, and loved.

Join us Monday, November 24 for Season of Service at the Salt Palace, a free Thanksgiving meal and community event for anyone needing support, thanks to The Larry H. Miller Company.

Ruff Haven will be onsite providing free pet vaccines, and we’re partnering with the Humane Society of Utah to offer pet supplies. Dogs are only allowed in our area, but kennels will be available so guests can enjoy the rest of the event.

Event runs 4–7 PM (Hall 5, enter on 300 West).

We had an amazing week at the University of Utah!

Big thanks to Sigma Phi Epsilon Fraternity for inviting us to their philanthropy week. They served up dirty sodas for donations while we brought Oreo and Quinn to spread smiles and wagging tails across campus!

We were also honored to participate in the Lauren McCluskey Race for Campus Safety, a yearly community event that brings people together to support safer college campuses.

The race raises awareness and funds for better responses to relationship violence and stalking, and it creates a meaningful space for students, families, and advocates to learn, connect, and take action.

The event is more than the run itself, with resources, activities, entertainment, and visits from campus mascots. Little Jada was our star here, drawing plenty of smiles and helping us share Ruff Haven’s mission to keep pets and their families together. 💚🐾

We’re so grateful to KUTV 2News for helping highlight the growing need for pet food across Utah. Our Pet Pantry has seen a major increase in requests as families feel the impact of the shutdown. Every bag of food makes a difference in keeping pets fed and loved at home.
