Last week, one of our partners at a local homeless resource center asked if we could help a resident fly with their cat, Melody, to family housing in Puerto Rico. ✈️🐾

Getting a pet on a plane is no small feat—vaccines, health certificates, kennels, and fees all had to align. Thanks to teamwork with Volunteers of America, Melody and her family made it safely!

Every family’s journey is different, and we’re here to support pet families with compassion—not judgment. 💚

This past weekend, our team members Sarah and Jackie had the opportunity to connect with students from the U of U Bennion Center during their Saturday Service Project!

Together, we assembled emergency pet kits and added sweet handwritten notes to bring a little extra comfort to the families we serve. We’re so grateful for the chance to share our mission and work alongside such thoughtful, community-minded volunteers!

A Purr-fect Day at Sandy City Hall 🐾

Yesterday we had the pleasure of hosting another Ruff Haven Vaccine Clinic—this time at Sandy City Hall! We were able to vaccinate and microchip 150 pets, all at no cost to their families. 💚

A big thank you to Sandy City Animal Services for joining us and offering free pet licensing to Sandy residents—such an awesome way to support responsible pet ownership in the community!

And of course, none of this would be possible without our amazing volunteers. We’re so grateful for your time, energy, and love for the animals.

We’re constantly inspired by the heart and hustle of our amazing volunteers — and last week was a perfect example.

Last Thursday, our team served 450 families during our monthly pet pantry. While that was happening, volunteers and staff unloaded 24 pallets of food and treats for animals of all shapes and sizes, generously donated by our friends at Chewy. While this may seem like a lot, this typically only lasts us two months due to the increased need for pet food.

None of this would be possible without the compassionate, hard-working people who show up, roll up their sleeves, and give their time to support pets and the people who love them. 💚🐾

To every volunteer who helps us keep tails wagging and bellies full — thank you! We see you, we appreciate you, and we’re so lucky to have you.

We love a good collab! 🐾 We recently helped a small pet pantry Carbon Pet Pantry with food and supplies for pet owners in need. Rural areas often face limited resources, so we're proud to lend a helping paw.

Losing your home is tough.

Almost losing your family cat during the move to a shelter? That’s insult to injury - with claws!

When Coco darted outside during the chaos of moving, disaster struck: she was hit by a car and suffered a painful tooth fracture. Her family was devastated - and completely out of funds. Rent was already a stretch. A vet bill? Not even on the radar.

That’s when Ruff Haven got the call. And like we always do, we said “yes”.

Coco is now on the mend, but her care came with a price tag - $1,780 to be exact.

Please help cover the cost of Coco’s surgery. Every donation brings relief, healing, and hope - not just for Coco, but for the family who loves her dearly. 💚
