At yesterday’s SLC Resource Fair, we met a family with a young dog they’d just adopted, and they were worried she might be pregnant.

Thanks to our amazing onsite partners at Wasatch Community Clinic, who provide low-cost spay/neuter services with vaccines at no charge with our partnership, she was in for a spay just 90 minutes later. By the end of the afternoon, she was vaccinated, microchipped, and spayed, ready for a healthier future.

The boxes are in, the tails are wagging, and we’re settling into our new space. It took a huge lift to get here, and we’re beyond grateful to everyone who pitched in to make it happen.

Our volunteers and supporters showed up big this month, helping us move from our old space into our brand-new facility. A special thank you to Michelle Cares Inc. and Fit To Recover for jumping in to help — we couldn’t have done it without you! From hauling and cleaning to organizing every last detail, you made this transition possible.

Because of you, we’ll be able to:
🐾 Double our capacity for cats
🐾 Expand veterinary care with an on-site clinic with
🐾 Host vaccine clinics, food pantries & outreach events
🐾 Create safe, comfortable spaces for pets — including a family visiting room

We’re heartbroken for the families affected by the Millcreek apartment fire and grateful for community partners like Whiskers who are working to locate missing pets and reunite them with their families.

🏡 “I found an apartment!!!!! Omgggg! When is the soonest I can pick up my pets?!?!”

Reunification days are pure joy, filled with happy tears, tail wags, and new beginnings. 💚 Dakota and Kiki's family just moved into their new apartment and couldn’t wait to bring them home. They are healthy, glowing, and so ready to snuggle up in their favorite spots again, including the sink!
