This little man is Pinecone, who you can tell is looking and feeling much better than when he first came in.

Pinecone is a senior guy at 9 years old and has spent much of his life in a hutch. He had severe dacryocystitis when he arrived, but is doing much better post treatment and eye flushes.

This little old man came to the rescue in the midst of Nosey’s issues so we haven’t been able to properly introduce him til now.

Pinecone needs a neuter and molar trim before adoption, which we’ll be scheduling with our vet shortly, so that he can keep eating all the delicious hay he can eat and have a bunny friend.

Happy Saturday, True Hearts fam! Meet Maple 🍁

Maple found herself at a local shelter after being picked up as a stray at not even a year old. Unfortunately, she was also pregnant. Due to all her stress, she went into early labor and delivered babies too premature to survive.

We were worried about her mental and physical health at the shelter, so we pulled her the same day so she could decompress and receive a full health check and spay.

Ms. Maple is now settled into the pampered indoor bun life, and won’t ever be dumped or pregnant again. We’re starting to accept adoption apps for her. Let us know if you think she’d be a perfect companion for your bun and family! 🍁

We just realized we never updated you on Donte’s dental! He had his three erupted incisors removed, along with several “peg” teeth. He came through with flying colors and was eating some hay when he got home that same night! He has continued to do well and adapt to eating without those pesky teeth, so we know removing them was the right choice for this little man. Thank you to everyone who donated and made this possible.

Ken needs a molar trim this weekend which will be close to another $700 😭😭 he’s needed supportive care and supplemental feedings for a couple weeks now, and after full diagnostics, the next thing we can try is molars. We have this adorable bunny minky that was donated by a foster and friend of the rescue who we are so sad is moving away from Utah 🥺

We have an incredible amount of bills right now that we cannot keep up with. Ankaa is going to have a back leg amputated this weekend and Ken needs a molar trim, so it’s another $2500 (or more) week 😭😭😭

APPA IS HOME!!

After a night in the hospital on iv fluids and receiving several enemas, a good chunk of appa’s impaction is resolved. She is now on an updated regimen of meds and fluids with a couple more diet changes. We are really hoping we can keep her going for awhile 🤞🥺

We also ordered her a new heating pad with built in massage, which she is loving. Since megacolon is a progressive disease, we and her wonderful foster are just trying to be as diligent as possible with her care. Russell is also so happy to have his girl home and is grooming the yucky vet smell off her 😂

We are still $350 short of the funds we need to pay for her vet visit. Please donate, share, and comment if you can 🤍 thank you so much to everyone who has already helped out. We are SO grateful.

🚨🚨SOS🚨🚨

True Hearts fam, we need your help with a medical emergency. Appa, our megacolon bunny, has a severe impaction and needs to be hospitalized to try to clear up her colon. As you can see, the high end of our estimate is $1700, and to be honest, we just don’t have it.

Between specialized care and surgeries for Nosey and Dante and ongoing care for other bunnies in the rescue, (Zira, Ken, and Linus have all seen the vet multiple times in the last few weeks) we’ve spent $6k on vetting this month and are totally wiped out. If Appa can’t stay in the hospital to get the care she needs, our only other option is euthanasia. Please help us (and her bondmate, Russell) help our girl! ❤️‍🩹❤️‍🩹❤️‍🩹
