Join us for coffee, conversation, and the opportunity to meet other Veterans while spending some time with the herd. You’ll also get to learn more about Horses Healing Hearts and how our horses are helping create connection, healing, and community.

No experience with horses is needed, come as you are.

Whether you’re looking to meet new people, reconnect with the Veteran community, or simply enjoy a cup of coffee surrounded by horses, we’d love to have you there!

Sometimes the best thank-you comes straight from the kids. ❤️

As our Summer Horse Camp comes to an end, our campers wanted to create their own special message for the Masiello Family Foundation — complete with drawings, lots of color, a few “you’re the bests,” and plenty of love.

John and Laurie, your continued generosity helps make experiences like these possible — days filled with horses, friendships, laughter, learning, confidence and memories these kids will carry with them long after camp is over.

Did you know?

🐴 The research is straightforward: children with ADHD who participate in equine-assisted activities show measurable improvements in attention, impulse control, and self-regulation — often within weeks of starting. The less obvious question is why.

Part of the answer is the horse itself. Horses are immediate and honest. They respond to what you're doing right now, not what you did five minutes ago. A child who can't sit still at a desk discovers that a horse requires exactly the kind of focused, present-moment attention that medication or therapy is trying to build. The horse becomes a reason to regulate, because the horse makes it clear — gently, without judgment — when the child isn't.

Part of the answer is the body. Riding engages core muscles and balance systems in ways that activate neurological pathways involved in attention. The rhythmic movement of a horse at walk has been shown to affect brain activity in measurable ways.

And part of the answer, honestly, is that it's interesting. A horse is more interesting than a worksheet. A twelve-year-old who is impossible to engage in a classroom will stay focused on a horse for an hour without being asked twice.

A Heartfelt Thank You to Walmart Seabrook! 💙

We would like to extend our sincere thanks to Walmart in Seabrook, NH for selecting Horses Healing Hearts, Inc. as a recipient of one of their community grants!

On July 20th, Joe, Marianne, and Natalie had the honor of attending Walmart’s Grand Re-opening celebration to accept this generous $1,000 grant on behalf of our organization.

Support like this makes a real difference. Grants help us provide meaningful equine-assisted programs, offer affordable camps, purchase essential supplies, and continue creating opportunities for children, veterans, first responders, and families to experience the healing power of horses.

We are incredibly grateful to Walmart for investing in our mission and in the community we serve. Thank you for helping us continue to make a positive impact one horse, one heart, and one life at a time. ❤️

What an incredible week at Summer Camp! ☀️🐴

Thank you to everyone who helped make this session such a success. From our amazing campers to our dedicated volunteers, staff, families, and supporters. You made this week unforgettable.

We are so grateful for the laughter, learning, friendships, and special moments shared at the barn. 💙 We can’t wait to do it all again! One more week left in August !

Happy Independence Day! 🇺🇸

Today we celebrate the freedoms that unite us, honor the courage and sacrifice of those who came before us, and give thanks for the opportunity to build stronger communities together.

As America marks its 250th Anniversary, we’re especially grateful to live in a country where hope, service, and compassion continue to make a difference every day. At Lazy J Ranch and Horses Healing Hearts, we’re honored to witness the healing, growth, and connections that horses inspire in people of all ages.
