Since our inception in 1992, MRFRS has assisted over 130,000 cats — placing over 22,800 cats and kittens into homes, spaying or neutering over 14,000 feral cats at our TNR clinics, and over 65,000 cats on our Catmobile. OUR PROGRAMS:
• Adoption Center for surrendered stray and owned cats
• Catmobile (mobile clinic offering low-cost cat spay/neuter)
• Feral spay/neuter clinics at MSPCA Nevins Farm

conducted by MRFRS volunteers
• TNR support (trap rental and instruction)
• Care for Life (adoption program for feline leukemia positive cats and cats with other chronic health issues, with lifetime coverage of associated vet care costs)
• Foster care program
• Feline Assistance Resources and Support (subsidized veterinary care for low-income cat owners)
• Captain Courageous Fund (assists caretakers of free-roaming cats)
• Bridge Program (provides emergency boarding for cats whose owners are in perilous circumstances)
• Low-cost vaccination & microchipping clinics for cats and dogs

Trix is the perfect example of being young at heart! She is a 13-year-old lady who loves to play just as much as the young kittens. She loves to jump around and chase after a wand toy. She also very much enjoys her crunchy treats, especially Temptations. Sometimes even her tail twitches with excitement. You will easily win her over with lots of yummy snacks, activity and affection.

On Sunday, April 27th we’re excited to offer rabies and distemper vaccines for $20, nail trims for $10 and FREE microchip identification for cats and dogs. The clinic will be held by appointment only at MRFRS’ Adoption Center located at 63 Elm St. in Salisbury, MA.

Pre-registration and pre-payment are required. Hello! My name is Eastman and I’m looking for the purr-fect home just for me! You see, I prefer to be the only cat as I should always be the center of your attention. I have currently upgraded to having my very own room here at the shelter. Some might say it was a punishment but I say it was a reward! I get my own food, my own toys, and I don’t have to fight over the best view out the window. I can’t wait to have a whole home just for me.

Eastman is a 4-year-old boy who would do best in a home as the only cat. He is an active and outgoing boy who needs to keep busy in his day-to-day life. He enjoys chasing mouse toys, wand toys, and shelves for him to hop across.

We all love a tiny, baby kitten, but wouldn’t it be great if they stayed that small forever? Well, sometimes they do! Like Lady Rainicorn, she is about 5lbs at 1.5 years old. She is a loving girl who enjoys lots of attention. At first approach, she can be a bit timid but warms up very quickly to petting and even belly rubs. She also enjoys a good view of the outdoors to watch the birds fly by. She is curious about the other cats and would do well with having another feline friend in the home.
