MRFRS is excited to announce that we have been selected as a recipient of the Massachusetts Animal Coalition (MAC) Pet Plate Program’s 2026 Spay/Neuter grant! This grant will allow MRFRS to continue to provide financial assistance to cat owners in need who make an appointment with our Catmobile program.

MAC has been dedicated to improving the lives of companion animals for 25 years by promoting collaboration among animal welfare professionals and organizations. One of MAC’s key initiatives is to help make spay/neuter surgery accessible to pet owners in the state through their grant program. These grants are made possible from sales of the “I’m Animal Friendly” license plates. 🎉🐱 54 Adoptions in May... and Counting! 🏡💛

We’re thrilled to share that we’ve already celebrated 54 cat adoptions this month! Every adoption means another cat or kitten has found the loving home they deserve, and we couldn’t be happier for these lucky felines and their new families.

But we’re not done yet! Our Home for Summer Adoption Event begins TODAY (5/29) and runs through tomorrow (5/30), so we’re hoping to help even more cats head home before the month ends! If you’ve been thinking about adopting, now is the purr-fect time to meet your new best friend.
