This is the pup removed from the hoarding situation, that we also brought several litters of kittens into rescue from. The conditions were deplorable. This sweet senior has endured a life of hell thus far, please help her live her senior years pain free, comfortable & loved 🥰

🚨 BIG DAY FOR WINNIE... AND WE NEED YOUR HELP 🚨

Our sweet senior Shih Tzu, Winnie, is headed to Pocomoke Animal Hospital this morning for a major surgery. 💔

Winnie has a very large mammary mass that needs to be removed, severely rotten teeth causing her some trouble, and she must be spayed to prevent a pyometra (a life-threatening uterine infection).

As if that wasn't enough, this afternoon our six little Yorkies are also heading to the vet for exams, rabies vaccines, and blood work.

❗Today is going to be a VERY expensive day.❗

The good news? Winnie has a potential adopter waiting for her. ❤️ Now we just need to get her healthy enough to enjoy the life she deserves.

Please keep Winnie in your thoughts and prayers today. This little girl has already endured so much. She came from a home where she was living in filthy conditions alongside 15+ cats who were abandoned when their owners moved away.

I don't ask for much, but I truly cannot continue this rescue work without your support.

Since June 1st alone, over $2,000 has been spent on veterinary care. That doesn't include vaccines I provide, preventatives, food, treats, cleaning supplies, electric costs, and everything else that comes with caring for these animals.

Adoptions are slow.Surrenders are increasing.Veterinary costs keep rising.Food costs keep rising.

It's a difficult time to be in rescue, but these animals still need us.

🎉 The big day is here! 🎉

Mommy Pauline is ready to find her forever home!

If you’ve followed her story, you’ll remember this is the brave mommy who survived through being hit by a car, while very pregnant, rupturing her uterus, which killed 3 of her babies. They were found to be free floating in her abdomen causing her to be septic. With the amazing surgical skills & care from Dr Wolf at The Guardian Vet Group & lots of TLC & supportive care with her fosters, she’s made a miraculous recovery. Other than a slight limp from an injured tendon in her foot, she’s made a complete recovery. Her remaining 2 babies are thriving, growing up fast & she’s ready to find her very own home where she can be the queen of her castle. She deserves it! She needs it! We all want that for her! She’s estimated to be 2-3ish years old. And a stunningly gorgeous girl, who loves to chatter telling you all about her day.
Can you give Pauline her happily ever after?! We all adore this sweet mommy … she’s the best ❤️

They’ve done the hardest job of all — raising their babies and making sure they were healthy, loved, and ready for their forever homes. ❤️

Now it’s their turn to be cared for. 💞

Our sweet mommy cats are ready for adoption, but they need safe, loving foster homes while they wait for their forever families to find them. Fostering gives them a chance to relax, and finally enjoy being pampered after months of caring for kittens. 🐱 ❤️🐱

Yes, it’s been one of those days. We’re so tired of being called “crazy cat lady” simply because we care for & love cats…. Dog people don’t get those labels & we’ve met more crazy dog people than crazy cat people. Just sayin’….. /

Meet the “olives” litter - 🫒

They were found alone, by a county roads employee … Mommy had to have been close by (they’re still looking for her) because these babies are chonky, but they were injured & it was more important to get them to safety to receive care as soon as possible!
It seems something attacked them - they both have bite wounds, both have eye injuries and one also has a mouth injury. They were lethargic, in pain/shock & not doing well when they arrived.
With A LOT of TLC…we’re happy to report, they are eating well, and responding nicely to supportive care. All active bleeding has finally stopped & their wounds are starting to heal… but they have a long road to recovery. 🙏🏼
