01/01/2026
Effective January 1, 2026, we will no longer be accepting animals that need to be spayed or neutered.
This means if a pet is not already altered, we will not be able to take it in.
Our rescue is funded entirely out of my own pocket, and we have to make responsible decisions to ensure our future and the continued care of the animals already relying on us. With current spay and neuter estimates from local veterinarians ranging anywhere from $700 to $1,400 depending on size, this is simply not something we can sustain.
We are currently on waiting lists for several lower-cost spay and neuter programs across the Bay Bridge and in Delaware, and we will continue to explore all possible options. However, until affordable solutions are available, this policy must be in place.
We appreciate everyone’s understanding and support as we make this difficult but necessary decision. Our goal has always been and will continue to be to do what’s best for the animals while ensuring we can keep saving those who truly need us.
We hope everyone has a safe and amazing New Year.
Thank you for standing with us and supporting our mission. ❤️
