Two of the most common mistakes made when first getting into guinea pigs is buying a pet store cage for their home and only getting 1 guinea pig.

Luckily both mistakes can easily be changed! Save the pet store cage for emergencies or travelling and build them a much larger environment.

Adopt your guinea pig a friend! Check out local rescues, shelters, online ads etc. It is never too late for them to have company, no matter the age.

Remember, we all make mistakes, it is a natural part of pet keeping. What makes us wonderful pet parents is realizing our mistakes and changing for the better.
