As we wrap up our 25 by 2025 initiative, we want to share our deepest gratitude for this community.

Our 25 by 2025 campaign, created with Greater Good Charities, and powered by PetSmart Charities with support from Purina and the Purple Leash Project, focused on helping to ensure that 25% of domestic violence (DV) shelters in the U.S. are pet friendly by the end of 2025. Although we were just short of our ambitious goal at 19.5%, we remain committed to our efforts to keep more DV survivors safe and together with their pets.

We are so proud of the progress we’ve made together. Thank you for standing with us, for advocating for those who cannot speak for themselves, and for proving that families belong together.
Because of you, more survivors and pets are finding safety together. Thank you!

Because of kind and generous people like YOU, our community raised over $98,000 this December! Every dollar donated provides love, care, and respect to families facing their most difficult moments — families like Blue’s.

Blue is an eight-year-old Pitbull who was "heavenly sent" to help his pet parent heal after a deep personal loss. When he was diagnosed with a mast cell tumor, his pet parent did everything possible to save him, but the surgery costs were overwhelming. Thanks to our community, Blue got the care he needed and is now home resting with a bright, healthy future ahead!

With your generous donations, we’ll be able to help even more families like this one in 2026. Thank you for making these happy endings possible. This work is only possible because of you!
