We lost a good friend. Know that we are here for you with anything you may need 💕

It is with our hearts shattered into a million pieces and through tear-filled eyes that we share the passing of our fearless leader, our hero, Kirk.

Kirk, along with our mom, Coleen, at his side, spent his life devoted to the things he loved and believed were worthy of his time. Above all, that meant two things: helping the people he cared about and building the strongest cattle herd and genetics he could be proud to share with his customers and friends. More often than not, those two passions became one.

Kirk wasn’t interested in chasing industry fads or trying to raise the next million-dollar animal. His vision was much bigger than that. He wanted to build something that would stand the test of time—not only for his children and grandchildren, but for the families and ranchers he had the privilege of working alongside.

He dedicated his life to producing genetics that were affordable, accessible, and, most importantly, functional. Cows that calved on their own, raised a good calf with carcass merit, bred back on time, and had longevity. The kind of cows that worked for you, not the other way around. To Kirk, success wasn’t measured by a sale price or a banner. It was measured by whether his cattle could help another family make a living, build a herd, and keep their ranch in the family for another generation.

But the cattle were only part of Kirk’s legacy. His greatest legacy will always be the people he loved, the lives he touched, the friendships he made, and the family he worked so hard to build a future for. He was a mentor, a friend, a cattleman, a husband, a father, a grandfather, and our hero. The lessons he taught us, the values he lived by, and the work he poured his heart into will continue through all of us.

There will never be another Kirk, and there are no words big enough to describe the hole his absence leaves behind. We will miss his guidance, his strength, his stories, his friendship, and simply knowing he was there. But we will do our very best to carry forward what he spent his life building and to make him proud.

We would be honored to have you join us as we celebrate Kirk’s life on Thursday, September 3rd at 10:00 a.m. at St. Fidelis Church in Victoria, Kansas.

His work is finished, but his legacy is not.
