Update on Mr Duke!

Dr. Collins preformed an Ultrasound on Duke today and it looks like there is a mass on his Thyroid. The good news is that it is operable and we can preform that procedure at the clinic.
Dr. Schulz listened to his heart again and didn’t hear a heart murmur, so that’s good news, as well.
Th Dr felt like his prognosis seemed to be good. His chest x-rays looked good so nothing is spreading, it would seem. We are moving forward with Thyroidectomy and going to send out the sample for a histopathology to see what the cells look like to know for sure.

Update on Miss Freya !!

She went to the vet yesterday doing further testing bloodwork amongst other things to rule out cancer

"SHE SHOULD'VE JUST BEEN EUTHANIZED!"

⏰⏰⏰ Foster needed by FRIDAY 10/16 ⏰⏰⏰

Freya needs a foster home that wants her there.
One willing to provide the enrichment she needs to decompress.
Not one that sees her as an inconvenience and wishes she was just euthanized.

The current foster’s dogs have not taken well to Freya being there, creating a stressful environment. Because of this, the foster decided Freya must be gone immediately.

Freya has NOWHERE to go!
And she might have cancer.

❤️‍🩹 Freya has a large mass, and we are still waiting on the vet’s diagnostic results to determine whether her condition is treatable or terminal. It's very likely she needs comfort-focused hospice care. But she’s bright, social, happy, and not showing any signs of discomfort.

We urgently need a new foster who can be patient and give Freya a safe place while we wait for answers to make the best informed decision for her.

She is playful, loving, and still very much enjoying life.
She deserves someone committed to her.
