If you have never experienced sheep herding, here is a glimpse at this kind of training. Cyndy Douan, Georgia Dog Gym’s owner, likes to spend her spare time training Border Collies to herd sheep!!
In the cooler months, from October through May, Cyndy also books sheep herding lessons & “sheep camps” for people who have Border Collies. Since this breed works livestock very differently than other “herding breeds”, Cyndy only works with Border Collies in this kind of work. If you are thinking of trying out your Border Collie, call us to speak with Cyndy Douan about setting up a lesson time with her. Sheep lessons are conducted at Rafter W Ranch in Kingston, Ga.

Here is some amazing news from Jen Carson Dean! Jen is a super talented trainer and brilliant at it! Our own Cyndy Douan, MHDL participated in business consulting work and strategic planning with Jen to assist her in getting her dream off the ground.
We are super proud of her! There is a great need for reliable & properly trained and temperamented dogs to do this work. We fully support Jen’s work!!
