Catskill Veterinary Services is a full service animal hospital. Dr. Joe D'Abbraccio started the practice in December of 2012 as a part-time home care practice. Since its inception, the practice has continued to grow and now to a complete veterinary hospital. We also have a number of veterinary specialists available for consult including complicated intestinal/liver disease as well as complicated s

urgical cases. Our consulting surgery specialist provides a variety of orthopedic procedures such as total hip replacements, knee surgery, complicated fracture repairs, and even spinal surgery. Our services have some of the latest diagnostic and monitoring devices in the region. We have a full radiology suite for full body digital radiographs. Our doctors can also perform digital abdominal, tendon, and reproductive sonograms. We can perform high-definition cat scan (CT) imaging at our Rock Hill, NY location. This type of technology allows our medical team to detect even the most subtle abnormalities that may have been unappreciated with traditional radiology technology. We currently have 5 full time doctors, 2 part time doctors, and a staff totaling close to 60!

Today is the perfect day to show your feline friend a little extra love — whether that means a gentle hug, a chin scratch, a cozy lap nap, or simply giving them the personal space they very clearly requested.

Big things are happening at Catskill Veterinary Services!

Our team recently came together for our quarterly team meeting, with nearly 85 team members in attendance from across our growing hospital network.

These meetings are an important part of how we stay connected, aligned, and focused on our mission: providing life-changing to life-saving veterinary care for pets and the families who love them.

Over the coming months, we are preparing to add nearly 50 additional team members as we get ready for the opening of our new centralized hospital. This expansion will allow us to continue building a stronger, more connected pet care network for the Hudson Valley.

We are incredibly proud of our dedicated team and grateful for the opportunity to grow while remaining locally owned and operated.

Luna is one of our oncology patients who comes to Catskill Veterinary Services for ongoing management of her skin lymphoma.

A cancer diagnosis can feel overwhelming, but families do not have to navigate it alone. Our team offers oncology services at our Rock Hill and Newburgh offices, helping pets like Luna receive thoughtful, individualized care close to home.

Our oncology services may include:

Lump, bump, mass, and tumor evaluations
Fine needle aspirates and biopsies
Cancer staging and diagnostic planning
Treatment planning for select cancers
Management of certain skin cancers and lymphoma cases
Surgical tumor removal when appropriate
Palliative care and quality-of-life support
Referral coordination with board-certified oncology specialists when needed

Finding a lump, bump, or tumor on your pet can be scary. At Catskill Veterinary Services, we offer oncology services at both our Rock Hill and Newburgh offices to help families understand their pet’s diagnosis, treatment options, and next steps.

But rest assured our teams at our Rock Hill location is available until 9 pm tonight. Our Newburgh team is available until 10 pm tonight.
