Look who is happy, healthy and ready for adoption! It's Rizzo!! You may remember him coming to the shelter injured with a severe infection (before pic in comments). We weren't sure he would pull through. But Rizzo decided otherwise. Our Vet has cleared him so it's time this loving fellow gets himself a forever home! Rizzo is around 5 years old, loves food, seems to like other cats but has not been tested with dogs. He will hiss a bit at strangers but it only takes him a minute to decide he was just being overly dramatic and wants attention! If you are interested in adopting our sweet boy, complete an application at the shelter!

If I close my eyes, maybe it won’t be true. Maybe when I open them, I won’t be back at the shelter. 😞

We absolutely hate this for her. Precious Angel is back at the shelter and it’s not her fault. This is her 3rd time being returned. This is her reality.

Precious Angel left the shelter to an environment where she could essentially do well. There were no other dogs and no cats. Precious loves people of all ages! She’s fun. She’s small. She’s loving. Precious doesn’t always enjoy having a dog friend. It depends on the dog. The adopters knew this. Fast forward - a new dog comes to the home. Where does that leave Precious Angel. We all know the answer to that.

We work endlessly to find these dogs a PERMANENT home. We get things happen. We get that a dog is different in the shelter than in a home. But what we don’t understand, is what happened with Precious Angel. She was failed by humans.

We are searching for a FOREVER home for her. Precious is great with everyone. She is probably 35lbs max. She is a pitbull mix. She is so very loving and will make someone the absolute best companion. We prefer no other dogs for her so that she has the best chance to thrive.

Our sweet boy Puffer Fish has been with us since Christmas Eve and still has not had one application. He had been living on the streets and found his way to some kind people who scooped him up and brought him to us. We had been having some very cold weather in our area and although he found help, he still lost the tip of his ear due to frost bite. We think it gives him character! He is such a sweet boy who loves attention. He loves playing with his toys. We all love Puffer Fish so much and want nothing more than for him to get the loving, warm home he deserves. This handsome man is currently at Petco South next to Target. If you are interested in adopting Puffer Fish, stop out to Petco to complete a visit with him.
