We are so excited that the Pet Funeral Home expansion is complete. Today we celebrated with a ribbon-cutting ceremony! Nelson Harris started us off with a prayer, then Sammy Oakey said a few words. He mentioned Lorraine Cunningham, Oakey's Advance Planning, whose idea it was to open a pet funeral home and crematory in Roanoke and who worked to make that idea a reality. Sammy also mentioned Michelle Weade, our first manager and then finally our Manager, Marjene Schrader, whose dedication and hard work are greatly appreciated and who oversaw all the details of the expansion. Then Sam Lionberger from the 's Board of Directors said a few words. Thank you to the Roanoke Regional Chamber of Commerce, Nelson Harris, Lib & Amy Catering and everyone who came out to celebrate with us.

We are getting closer to the finish line! Our new cremation machine and arrived yesterday, along with a new AC unit. The cremation machine and stack had to be lifted off the truck by crane, and together, they weighed 60,000 lbs! The stack is like a chimney for the cremator.
