04/21/2017 Evening update
Marley has had a fun day playing around at the house while I was sharing her posts and working on her auction. She has stage 3 T cell lymphoma. We have been blessed through this sad journey that we have met people through social networking all around the globe. We have also met many people like us who did not have pet health insurance who are also dealing with canine cancer and the financial burden. A lot of the non profit assistance programs are tapped out of funding as so many dogs are going through this along with their owners. One lady I spoke with on Facebook said she's already up to 6,000 in medical expenses. Some do not qualify for care credit, loans and credit cards. Some places do not accept care credit yet. We are up in the thousands as well when you add the costs of recheck visits, lab work, ultra sounds, x-rays and medications. The treatment protocol she is on can be anywhere from 1500-1800 per treatment every few weeks. This does not include visits, lab work, medications, X-rays, ultra sounds etc. We also want to spread awareness that canine lymphoma is common and pet health insurance is so very important. We like others never thought this would happen. We have sold personal possessions and have tried and will continue to fundraise. We hope to open a non profit foundation in Marley's name one day to help others go through this journey. If we can help anyone then we feel very humbled. We are also humbled by the support, prayers and love that we have received. I'm trying hard to find someone to do a story or article on her to spread awareness. Please donate if you can as we are thankful for every donation and no donation is too small. Please contact me if you need supporting documentation as we have kept every receipt and report. I can get that over to you quickly. Please keep sharing. I'm attaching a picture of the MOPP protocol treatment so that you can see the costs involved. Please like her page and please keep sharing. Love to all
