Today, we pause to remember the beloved pets who are no longer by our sides but will remain forever in our hearts.

They were never “just pets.” They were family members, loyal companions, best friends, protectors, comforters, and a source of unconditional love. They filled our homes with joy, left paw prints throughout our lives, and taught us that even the smallest moments can become treasured memories.

Although saying goodbye is one of the hardest parts of loving an animal, the bond we share with them never truly disappears. It lives on in the stories we tell, the photographs we cherish, and the love they helped us carry forward.

Cats are masters at hiding pain and illness, which means health problems may be developing long before obvious symptoms appear. Routine veterinary visits give us the opportunity to identify concerns early—when they may be easier to manage.

A feline wellness visit may include:

🐾 A complete nose-to-tail examination
🐾 Weight and body-condition monitoring
🐾 Dental and oral-health evaluation
🐾 Vaccination and parasite-prevention recommendations
🐾 Age-appropriate laboratory testing
🐾 Discussion of nutrition, behavior, and changes at home

Help make the trip less stressful by leaving the carrier out at home, adding familiar bedding, using treats to create positive associations, and asking us about additional options if your cat experiences significant travel anxiety.

🖤🐾 National Black Cat Appreciation Day | August 17 🐾🖤

Today, we’re celebrating the sleek, stunning, and wonderfully unique black cats who bring so much love and personality into our lives!

Black cats aren’t bad luck—they’re beautiful, affectionate, playful companions with just as much love to give as any other cat. From their glossy coats and striking eyes to their silly antics and soothing purrs, these miniature house panthers deserve to be celebrated every day.

Sadly, black cats can sometimes be overlooked in shelters because of outdated myths or because they’re more difficult to photograph. Let’s help change that by showing everyone just how special they truly are!
