Exercise is important, but physical activity alone may not meet all of your dog’s needs.

Dogs also benefit from mental stimulation, opportunities to sniff, social interaction, training, and problem-solving activities.

Try rotating toys, using puzzle feeders, practicing short training sessions, or allowing your dog to explore safely during walks. A balanced routine can support healthier, more manageable behavior.

Looking for simple ways to keep your dog mentally engaged? Our team is always happy to share tips that support your pet’s overall well-being. Visit www.kingdompethospital.com to learn more.

Occasional paw licking can be part of normal grooming, but frequent or intense licking may be a sign of an underlying concern.

Possible causes include seasonal or food allergies, cuts or foreign objects, parasites, skin infections, stress, or boredom. Check for redness, swelling, odor, discharge, broken nails, or anything lodged between the toes.

A veterinary exam is recommended if the licking continues, causes hair loss or skin damage, or is accompanied by limping.

Noticing your pet licking their paws more than usual? Schedule an exam at www.kingdompethospital.com so our team can help identify the cause and keep them comfortable. It’s our privilege to care for your pet, every step of the way.

Our pets may not understand every word we say, but they recognize affection, comfort, and the feeling of being safe with the people they trust.

Take a moment today to offer an extra cuddle, belly rub, gentle scratch, or quiet moment together.

Those small displays of love can mean a great deal to your companion.

A tiny nose boop can be a sweet way to connect with your pet, as long as they’re comfortable with the interaction.

Always pay attention to their body language.

A relaxed posture, soft eyes, and a willingness to stay close can indicate comfort. Pulling away, flattened ears, or a tense body may mean they need a little space.

Does your pet enjoy nose boops? 🐾

Pets bring comfort, companionship, joy, and unconditional love into our lives. They depend on us for more than food and shelter. They also need patience, attention, preventive care, and a safe place to feel loved.

Psalm 136:25 reminds us to appreciate and care for every living creature entrusted to us. Give your pet a little extra love today through playtime, cuddles, a healthy routine, or simply being present. 🐾
