π¦ A NEW PARTNERSHIP WITH A BIG PURPOSE π¦
Help at Rocking B Farms is proud to partner with Dr. Scot, Amazia Vet and Youth Efforts Against Hunger (YEAH) on their winter Turkey Challenge!
Ten turkeys will be raised and cared for here at the farm by our youth. Along the way, they will learn about animal care, agriculture, responsibility and the importance of giving back. The turkeys will be processed in December and donated to the Clark County Food Bank to help provide Christmas meals for local families experiencing food insecurity.
YEAHβs mission is to inspire youth civic engagement through agriculture education while helping alleviate hunger. Since 2006, its youth and community partners have donated more than 94,000 pounds of food to the Clark County Food Bank. YEAH also provides feed and processing support for many of its winter animal projects, making it possible for young people to raise animals specifically for donation.
This partnership brings together everything we believe in at Help at Rocking B Farms: teaching children through hands-on experiences, supporting agriculture and caring for our community.
