When Our Community Needs Help, We Show Up. 🐾❤️
The flooding in our community is affecting people and families in ways that go far beyond damaged homes and roads. For those with pets, an emergency can become even more complicated. Where do you go when you have nowhere safe to take your dog or cat?
While our shelter has limited space and resources, we want to help connect people and pets with the support they need during this difficult time.
🐾 If you and your pets have been impacted by the flooding:
• Please reach out to us if you need help finding pet-friendly resources or emergency assistance.
• If you are temporarily displaced, ask before leaving your pets behind. We will do our best to help identify options.
• If you find a lost or displaced animal, contact us so we can help reunite them with their family.
• Please keep pets safe, dry, leashed or secured, and away from contaminated floodwater.
❤️ And if you are in a position to help:
We may need donations of pet food, crates, towels, cleaning supplies, and other emergency pet supplies as we work to support animals and families affected by the flooding.
This is exactly why community matters. People helping people. People helping animals. And neighbors making sure no one—two-legged or four-legged—is left behind.
Please share this post so it reaches families who may need help. 🐶🐱❤️
