😸With the height of kitten season, we are in need of both kitten and adult cat food donations!
😺We accept donations anytime we are open Tuesday-Friday 12-5 and Saturdays 12-4.

May was a great month for adoptions! 🐾❤️ We are so thankful for every family who chose to open their hearts and homes to one of our shelter pets. Happy tails to all of our May adopters and their new best friends.

PSA for Wayne County:

That cardboard box doesn't offer the protection you think it does when you're choosing to dump your animals.

Last night, it was a cardboard box of puppies. Today its kittens.

We'd prefer our animals dumped on a silver platter. Or maybe in a Louis Vuitton bag? Like can we class it up a bit?

Obviously this is satire. Don't dump animals. ANYWHERE. Not in the county on a dirt road or in our doorway when we're closed. You're not helping.

What youre doing is asking overworked shelter staff to just do "a little bit more"... cause if we don't we have no heart, right? The Animals will "just die".

Found an animal? Call us. We'll offer food, supplies, whatever we can to give us time to buy some space.

This is why we cant take surrenders. Why we're always full. Because it's easier to anonymously walk away from a cardboard box and hope its someone else's problem.

All animal rescue workers deserve those designer bags now. Picture of kittens dumped today.

We may not have David Letterman, but we do have Sean and Dave from ! In lieu of a costume contest, we've decided to change things up and do a Stupid Pet Tricks competition at the 35th Annual Pet Walk ! No pre-registration necessary. Contest will be held at 10am before the walk.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by our table at the Richmond Flying Mummies home opener last night. Sammich, Nova, and Pete loved getting to meet everyone and all the extra attention and pets. All three are available for adoption!
