My husband and I are interested in giving opportunities for youth/teens to learn life skills and have a mentor. Whether you’re a single mom or a family who just lacks the time, we can teach a variety of life skills! We have the ability to teach mechanics and maintenance of a home (unclogging drains, changing an outlet, cutting grass) and cars (think oil changes and tires), cooking, fishing, camping/hiking, all things homesteading and even kayaking locally at the reservoir etc all at age appropriate levels. We also believe in teaching respect and responsibility as well as integrity which kids nowadays are lacking!

We personally have a 19yr old daughter attending college, a 14yr old daughter who attends RCS and a new little one born 4/13.

The Marans pen isn’t all Marans so I’m thankful that it’s obvious to see whose eggs are whose! 4 Marans, 2 olive eggers, one Brahma and one chocolate Orpington. The Brahma and Orpington serve as our meat bird chick makers since they’re heavy girls and Goose the BCM Roo is a heavy boy too!
