What makes Take Me Home Pet Rescue (TMHPR) different from every other animal rescue and shelter? Their foster families get to learn everything about them. This helps the foster pick the perfect home for the pet! Pets also get to work on training and house manners. Take Me Home Pet Rescue was founded in 2008 to meet the growing needs of the homeless pet population in the Dallas/Fort Worth Area. With the addition of the Adoption Center in 2012, TMHPR continues as a foster-based rescue, meeting the needs of homeless pets in need of Forever Loving Homes. Rescues like Take Me Home, with your support, are able to take animals from overcrowded shelters, and other unfortunate situations and provide them with the appropriate medical care, training and a loving foster home where they can learn to enjoy life again. As a result of living in a home, fosters are able to get to know the pet and help find the perfect Forever Home. TMHPR has set a goal of expanding our current facilities, as well as, continuing to rescue pets from high kill shelters and from the streets of Dallas. With your help, TMHPR can continue to make a difference in the homeless pet community. To view available pets, fill out a no-obligation adoption application, foster, volunteer, or donate, visit our website at https://tmhpr.com. Our surrender/intake request form can be found here https://form.jotform.com/32610744975964.

💜🐾 THIS IS FOSTERING. And It Could Be YOU!

Look at this photo. ❤️

This is what fostering looks like. A real home. A caring person. A rescue pet getting the love and security they deserve while waiting for a forever family.

No special equipment. No previous rescue experience. Just ordinary people doing something extraordinary.

🏡 You provide the home and love.
💚 TMHPR covers ALL the costs — veterinary care, food, and necessary supplies.
🐾 Our foster team provides guidance and support along the way.

And when that foster pet finds a forever family? You've helped make room for another life to be saved.

More foster homes = More lives saved.

We'd love for you to become part of our TMHPR foster family!

Meet Cattia!
This beautiful, dilute Torbie from the Gamer Litter came to our rescue from a local shelter with her four babies. Now that her mama duties are over, she's ready to be the center of attention in a home of her own! Cattia is incredibly sweet and loves curling up in your lap purring while watching everything going on around her. She lives with a small dog in her current foster home and is teaching the dog about cats. She prefers to be the only cat in her new home, where she can soak up all the love and attention she deserves. Learn more at TMHPR.com.

From hiding under a car to searching for her forever home, Meet Bo Peep!
This adorable, sweet tuxedo kitten was found all alone, but has blossomed into a happy, confident girl! She loves exploring, chasing toys, and showing off her cute head tilts. She is an independent girl, but also likes to spend time with her foster's cats. She would do best with another buddy in her new home. Bo Peep is just waiting for a forever family to call her own! Learn more about Bo Peep at tmhpr.com.

🐶🐱 THIS IS FOSTERING. It Doesn't Have to Be Forever to Change a Life. 💚

A weekend. A week. A few weeks. Or until adoption.

Sometimes, all a rescue pet needs is a temporary place to feel safe, loved, and cared for.

At Take Me Home Pet Rescue, we know that everyone's schedule is different. That's why short-term and weekend fosters are so important, too!

❤️ And fostering doesn't have to be a financial commitment. We cover ALL veterinary care, food, and necessary supplies for our foster pets.

Plus, you'll have our foster team to answer questions and offer support.

Your home doesn't have to be their forever home to make a forever difference.
