Poncho and Kenco have become good buddies.
It’s been very difficult to put Poncho out in the herd of other Donkeys because he wants to mount every one of them. Because he was castrated late in life he still has very rough play and Jack type of behavior. He was 24 years old when we castrated him. He is a super sweet donkey and loves attention and grooming, and lots of love.
Kenco is a super sweet donkey and loves attention and he leads great and he’s just a super donkey. However, when we put him with others he likes to kick during Feed time.
Due to these behaviors, we don’t want all of the Donkeys subjected to either of these boys so we put them together. For those of you who have been following might remember our introduction video where Poncho kept following Kenco around and Kenco kept giving warning kicks. They weren’t mean or aggressive. They were just telling him stay off of me. It’s worked out very well, so neither of these boys have to be alone to be allowed to share a stall together is good for them so they have companionship.❤️
