🚨EMERGENCY INTAKE POST - NEEDS SHARES + DONATIONS🚨
🚨 URGENT: WE HAVE UNTIL NOON TOMORROW TO SAVE HIM 🚨
Hey DD Donkey Team, I URGENTLY need your help RIGHT NOW.
This is a 10-year-old mini horse stud. Only 32 inches tall. His ribs are showing. He’s severely underweight. He has a cloudy eye and likely can’t see well.
He was listed for sale on a local page. The post got deleted quickly, so I’m assuming the owner got called out for his condition. I screenshot the post and reached out immediately.
Her terms: $500 cash OR she’s sending him to Cleburne Horse Auction TOMORROW.
Cleburne runs every Wednesday. If he goes there, a K*ill buyer or horse Trader can grab him for possibly $150 and he’ll ship to Mexico or transport to one Auction after another. At 32", underweight, with vision issues... he won’t make it out.
I NEGOTIATED HER DOWN TO $400. But I have to pick him up by NOON TOMORROW or she’s loading him for auction.
This little guy doesn’t deserve the path he could go down. He needs our help and the owner doesn’t deserve to be bashed.
Double D is stepping in, but we need YOU. I just put $4,500 toward our vet bill and we are getting ready to make another payment of $500 plus the angel donors match of $500— our account is drained. But he needs our help Team. I cannot do this without you.

Note: “MINI STUD”
What happens if we save him:
Immediate vet exam for weight (f***l test for worms) + that cloudy eye
Geld him ASAP — no more babies
Slow, safe refeeding recovery can takes months.
Once healthy, he’ll be available for adoption to a home that is experienced and familiar with minis.
What happens if we don’t: He goes to Cleburne tomorrow. I don’t have to tell you how that ends.
I’m ready to go first thing in the morning. I just need the funds to secure him. She won’t hold him past noon tomorrow.
Please, if you’ve ever considered donating, TODAY IS THE DAY. Even $5 buys us time. And additional $25 buys his first bag of feed. $100 gets us closer to his vet exam.
I’ll update the second he’s loaded in the trailer with Double D.
P.S. — This is why we do rescue. Because someone has to say YES when everyone else says “NO.”
