Many of you know we help Renton Animal Control care for numerous animals in need in our area, but do you really know what Animal Control does?
Check out our fearless leader, Officer Wilkinson, talk about the hard day-to-day work he does.

The Renton Police Department employs two full-time Animal Control officers to serve residents who reside within the city limits of Renton.

At EVA, we know that a trip to the vet can be a big deal for our feline friends. 🐱 Here are some tips for a low stress experience:

✔️ Use a sturdy carrier with a soft blanket that smells like home (ask us about our favorites!)
✔️ Cover the carrier with a blanket or towel to block out scary sights and sounds.
✔️ Practice carrier time at home and short car rides to reduce fear and get them more comfortable with the process.
✔️ Use Feliway pheromones or calming scents to soothe anxiety. We may also prescribe pre-visit medications to help your cat’s overall fear and anxiety level.
✔️ Bring any special treats that they enjoy
✔️ Stay calm! Your cat can pick up on your energy.
