Our compassionate, knowledgeable staff is here to serve your pets 7 days a week. Our animal urgent care services are offered on a walk-in basis only; we do not take appointments. In general, we provide care for your pet in situations where the problem isn’t critical enough to seek emergency care but you are unable to get an appointment at your primary veterinarian’s office within a few days. We tr

eat the following issues in dogs and cats:

• limping or pain
• minor lacerations, wounds, or burns
• abscesses
• vomiting and diarrhea
• blood in urine or stool
• cough or upper respiratory infection
• urinary tract infections
• toxin ingestion
• allergic reactions
• eye problems
• ear or skin infections
• scooting or licking
• broken toenails

In comparison, an emergency veterinarian hospital would treat issues like open fractures, heavy or uncontrolled bleeding, difficulty breathing, inability to urinate, and seizures. For these issues or life-threatening emergencies, please go to the nearest emergency veterinary hospital.

We’re open Memorial Day during our regular hours — 8 AM to 8 PM 🇺🇸

While many general practice veterinary clinics will be closed for the holiday, we’ll be here and will do our very best to see as many pets as possible throughout the day. As with many holiday weekends, we do anticipate a higher-than-normal caseload and longer wait times.

We truly appreciate your patience and kindness toward our team as we work hard to care for every pet that comes through our doors.

One of the more surprising urgent care needs we see involves bones becoming stuck around a dog’s lower jaw. Many pet owners are unaware this can happen until they are faced with it themselves.

Our patient, Star, came in after a bone marrow chew became firmly lodged behind her lower canine teeth and around the lower jaw. While some of these cases can occasionally be resolved without sedation, that is never guaranteed. In this case, sedation was necessary to safely and comfortably remove the bone- and Star did very well throughout the procedure.

Chews and bones should always be given under close supervision. Even products marked as “safe” or “natural” can carry risks, including fractured teeth, intestinal obstruction, choking hazards, and situations like this one.

If your pet is chewing on bones or hard chew, monitor them closely and contact your local veterinarian right away if something doesn’t seem right.

Quick reminder to please dispose of ni****ne and w**d cartridges responsibly instead of tossing them on the ground. Dogs- especially curious puppies- will sniff out and chew literally anything, and these cartridges can be dangerous if ingested.

We saw sweet Lainey yesterday for just this reason. With some supportive care and love, she is doing well and recovering happily 🐶😍

Lainey and the Arrow team would like to ask you to think twice before littering. Something so small left on the ground could turn into a big and serious emergency for someone else’s beloved pet!
