Refugio County invites you to the Grand Opening of the new Animal Control Facility, a milestone in our county’s commitment to public safety and animal welfare marked by a celebration full of fun, food, and furry festivities — Día de los Perros: A Halloweenie Roast & Dog Costume Parade! Bring your pups (in costume, of course!) and enjoy an afternoon of:

🌭 Halloweenie Roast – free hot dogs and refreshments for guests;
🎃 Dog Costume Parade & Contest – prizes for the most creative pet costumes;
🐕 Facility Tours – meet the team, explore the new kennels, and learn about adoption and volunteer opportunities
📸 Pet Photo Booth – capture the memories with your costumed companions;
🎶 Music, Games & Community Fun for all ages; and
✏️ Opportunity for the community to give feedback as we revise our animal control operating procedures to accommodate operations at the new facility.

This event celebrates not only our new facility but also the spirit of community that makes Refugio County a great place for both people and pets.
