Independence Belles is an equestrian organization that strives to help young people develop skills in horsemanship, drill maneuvers, leadership, self respect and accepting responsibility. We perform in numerous equestrian events like Competitions, Rodeos, Parades, and Play Day's. Independence Belles is best suited to people who like to ride and like the outdoors, but is not just a riding class. Ea

ch member must strive to work up through the ranks as he or she is learning horsemanship and drill maneuvers. This competitive opportunity results in development of leadership ability, self respect and both mental and physical discipline. Each member develops respect for officers, respect for personal discipline and that of the troop, and personal ability to accept responsibility.

Dakota Nixon and Leilah Gamez not only survived Camp Saddle Sore Drill Team camp BUT EXCELLED with certification of completion of camp AND JUDGES’ recognition of excellence in horsemanship!! So proud of Dakota Nixon on Gatsby and Leilah Gamez on Shammy! Thank you Erik and Katie Gamez for ALL your help and COMMITMENT to learning AND BECOMING KNOWLEDGEABLE DRILL MASTERS!!

It is difficult to find the words to express the joy and awesome life lessons that have been shared with so many young people at River Ranch! Independence Belles and Rising Stars Drill Teams are grateful for our time at the Ranch and all the help and support given since 2014 to present! Two very beloved drill team horses spent their retirement here until they peacefully crossed the Rainbow bridge there. Our teams thank you for the opportunity to share our horses and community service to Youth Odyssey each summer at Horse Camp! You are loved and will be missed! Thank you for sharing so many blessings and making beautiful memories for so many!
