Meet Basil!

Basil joined us recently for a sedated procedure, and our team kept a close eye on her from start to finish.

Basil made herself right at home, watching the room through her kennel door until it was time to reunite with her family.

Have questions about an upcoming procedure? We're always happy to walk you through what to expect: ridgeviewvetclinic.com

To wrap up our Tech Week celebrations, we’re celebrating Mackenzie, Sam, and Shelbi, three amazing team members who make Ridgeview so special!

Mackenzie | Veterinary Assistant
With 15 years of pet care experience and her Fear Free certification, Mackenzie helps make every visit as comfortable as possible. Outside the clinic, she enjoys reading, running, hiking, spending time with family, and baking homemade sourdough!

Sam | Client Service Representative & Veterinary Assistant
A Montana State University graduate with a degree in Animal Science, Sam hopes to attend veterinary school one day. With a background in ranch work and a house full of beloved pets, Sam brings a unique perspective and a passion for learning to our team.

Shelbi Benford, CVT | Certified Veterinary Technician
With nine years of experience, an associate degree in Animal Science, and Fear Free certification, Shelbi brings valuable expertise in surgery, anesthesia, and emergency care. She’s working toward specializing in anesthesia and has a big love for the outdoors! When she’s not at the clinic, you’ll find her camping, hiking, paddleboarding, or enjoying the river with her husband, friends, and dog, Buttercup. Her animal family also includes three cats, a bunny, and a ball python! 🐍🐰

Shelbi says it best: our team is compassionate, forward-thinking, and always striving to learn and grow. We couldn’t be prouder of this incredible crew!

Join us in thanking Mackenzie, Sam, and Shelbi for all they do for our patients and community. We’re so grateful to have them at Ridgeview! 💙

Halloween is more fun when pets stay safe too 🎃. Keep candy and decorations out of reach, make sure costumes are comfortable, watch for open doors, and give anxious pets a quiet space away from the trick-or-treaters.

Happy National Veterinary Technician Week!

We’re continuing our celebration of the team members who make Ridgeview feel like home for Redmond’s pets and their families. Meet Courtney, Savanna, and Kristi, three more valued members of our team who bring their own unique experiences, passions, and dedication to veterinary medicine.

Courtney | Certified Veterinary Technician
Born and raised in Bend, Courtney returned to Central Oregon after completing her education in Idaho to do what she loves close to home. With 14 years in veterinary medicine and a special interest in surgery and dentistry, her greatest reward is seeing patients heal. At home, she cares for a lively crew including senior lab Benelli, bulldog Booker, horse Black Jack, goat Uno, and a flock of chickens and a duck. Her easygoing humor keeps the team smiling, and her motto says it all: “You do you, boo boo.”

Savanna | Veterinary Assistant & Client Service Representative
Since joining Ridgeview in April 2025, Savanna has found her favorite place in the clinic assisting with surgery and anesthesia. Outside of work, you’ll find her painting, catching a concert, or tending to her aquariums full of fish and corals. She shares her home with Sparrow, her lovable (and needy) cat, and Sadie, her wiggly boxer sidekick.

Kristi | Client Service Representative & Veterinary Assistant
Kristi has been part of Ridgeview since the day we opened and is our resident jack-of-all-trades, with a special interest in anesthesia monitoring and diagnostics. A military brat who has lived all over the world, she now proudly calls Central Oregon home with her husband, her young son, and Daisy, her beagle/shepherd mix. She loves reading, video games, and cross-stitch, and runs on fruit gummies and coffee.

Please join us in thanking Courtney, Savanna, and Kristi for all they do for our patients, clients, and community! We’re so grateful to have them at Ridgeview.

We're so grateful for the kind words from DeEtta! 🐾

Thank you for sharing how our team took the time to help your pup feel calm and comfortable, alongside giving her great care. Patience like that is what we strive for with every excited, nervous, or curious patient who walks through our doors.

Happy National Veterinary Technician Week!

This week, we’re celebrating the incredible team members who keep Ridgeview running smoothly and bring compassionate care to Redmond’s pets and their families every day. Meet Kristina, Bear, and Mekayla, three valued members of our team who bring their own unique experiences, passions, and dedication to veterinary medicine.

Kristina | Certified Veterinary Technician
Part of the Ridgeview family since day one, Kristina has worked in veterinary medicine since 2016 and became a CVT in 2023. She’s especially passionate about client education and loves that this field offers endless opportunities to learn. Outside the clinic, you might find her paddleboarding in the summer or at home with her rescue cats and dogs and a 100-gallon aquarium of fish named after Harry Potter characters.

Bear | Client Service Representative & Veterinary Assistant
Bear’s favorite part of working at Ridgeview is showing compassion and empathy to every patient and client, helping pets feel safe while making a positive difference in their families’ day. Bear’s happiest days are spent outdoors with horse Dylan and dog Taz.

Mekayla | Client Service Representative & Veterinary Assistant
With a Bachelor of Science in Biology, Mekayla loves being part of a team that’s always eager to teach and genuinely cares for every patient and client. Away from work, she enjoys reading with a cup of coffee, sketching the local scenery, and riding her family’s horse. Her favorite part of the clinic? The cows and mountain views right outside our windows.

Please join us in thanking Kristina, Bear, and Mekayla for all they do for our patients, clients, and community! We’re so grateful to have them at Ridgeview.

Happy Veterinary Technician Week from Ridgeview! 💚

Our doctors, CVTs, veterinary assistants, and client service representatives all call Central Oregon home, and we wouldn’t want to be anywhere else. Redmond is where we live, where we raise our families, and where we get to care for the pets of the people we see on the trails, at the farmers market, and cheering in the stands on Friday nights.

This week we’re especially celebrating our CVTs and assistants. They’re the steady hands, the calm voices, and the reason so many pets leave a little happier than they came in.

When you walk through our doors, you’re not just visiting a vet clinic. You’re visiting your neighbors, and we’re so grateful to be part of this community.

Follow along as we introduce each member of our team over the coming weeks. You’ll meet the people, the stories, and the four-legged family members behind Ridgeview.
