Catheranne and I made a quick visit to St. Louis last week to visit the Sophia M. Sachs Butterfly HouseThe butterflies were so busy and active and I definitely captured some gems. I just love my 180mm lens for getting that beautiful background anytime the butterflies were separated from the background.

The best way to capture butterflies is with a long lens, stand still and wait, or quietly walk through the areas away from the noise and foot traffic. Do you enjoy having a camera shoved in your face? Neither do I so why do so many people get their camera's and cell phones inches from the butterflies?????????? It's a wonderful place to visit! I do wish people would respect the animals and butterflies and leave a bit of space between them and whatever device they are using.
