We do now offer lepto vaccines for at-risk patients. Exposure to rodents, rodent urine, wildlife-contaminated water, and infected dogs are all risk factors. Lepto CAN be contracted by people and is quite serious in both people and dogs. Let us know if you would like your dog to receive this vaccine.

The two people, who officials said were breeding rats in an RV, represent Berkeley's first known human cases of leptospirosis in a decade.

Did you know that the heart worm test we run at the clinic is actually a 4-way test?

Not only are we checking to see if your dog has heart worms, but we also test for 3 tick-borne illnesses! (anaplasmosis, erhlichia, lyme disease)

We run this annually to keep your pet up to date on their heart worm preventative, but it can also be done 4-6 weeks after a tick bite to check if any diseases were transmitted.

At Whole Health Pet Center, we pride ourselves in being able to schedule patients in a timely manner. However, we are a small team and the books are filling up fast!

Especially for routine visits, we recommend calling in advance to be sure that we can see your pet when needed.
