Daquavious is a gentle soul who was near death when he arrived. He just wants love and attention. He has potential with other cats. He spent a couple of weeks in foster and did not seem to mind the cats in the home.
Malaysia was a part of a big TNR effort locally. She had back end issues/trouble walking. After vet visits and diagnostics and medications, we don’t have answers, but Malaysia can get around okay and use the litter box. She may need some environmental modifications like litter boxes on each floor. She loves other cats! She lived with another cat and met some of the cats in her foster home. She may enjoy a quieter home as she can be shy initially.

We are honored to be a part of The Aidan Effect on June 6th at Fred Fuller Park in Kent. "Aidan Veney loved music, nature, animals, and making people feel seen in quiet but meaningful ways. This event was created to honor his memory by turning grief into action and creating positive ripples throughout the community. Together, we’ll gather to raise funds for the Portage Animal Protective League and supporting causes close to his heart."

Meet Jacks! This handsome 9-year-old lab mix recently found himself back at the shelter after spending the last 9 years in a home, and now he’s hoping to find his forever family to live out his golden years with.💛

Jacks is the definition of a gentleman. He loves everyone he meets and has the sweetest, laid-back personality. He’s happiest lounging around for a cozy nap, but don’t let his age fool you — this boy still enjoys a good game of fetch when the mood strikes!

Jacks has potential with other dogs and has previously lived with cats as well. In his previous home, he was noted to have some anxiety, but he has been doing very well on medication while here with us at the shelter.

This sweet senior boy is ready to trade shelter life for soft beds, belly rubs, and a family to love him forever. 🐾
