Meet Gizmo! This adorable little Chihuahua mix is around 2 years old and packed full of personality! Despite his tiny size, Gizmo has a big zest for life and is always ready for fun, playtime, and attention.

Gizmo came to us through our Humane Agent after experiencing a difficult start in life, but this resilient little guy has made incredible progress. He’s learning that people can be kind and that gentle pets can actually feel pretty great! While he happily greets new friends and loves being the center of attention, Gizmo does have some boundaries. He prefers to keep all four paws on the ground and isn’t a fan of being picked up. He can also be sensitive to handling and rough petting, so he’ll do best with people who respect his space and let him build trust at his own pace.

Because of his sensitive nature, Gizmo is looking for an adult-only home where he can continue gaining confidence. With patience, understanding, and plenty of love, this spunky little guy is sure to become an amazing companion. If you’re looking for a pint-sized pup with a big personality and an even bigger heart, Gizmo might just be your perfect match!

Meet Kenworth! 🚛❤️ This handsome guy is about 2 years old and is living life to the fullest! As the shelter’s resident goofball, he’s always ready to make you laugh with his silly antics and larger-than-life personality. But underneath all that comedy is a giant sweetheart who loves spending time with his favorite people.

Kenworth has plenty of energy for adventures, playtime, and fun, followed by lots of love and cuddles. He prefers to be the only animal in the home so he can soak up all the attention himself, and due to his high prey drive, a pet-free home is the best fit. At around 70 pounds, this big boy would do best with older children who can keep up with his enthusiastic zest for life.

If you’re looking for a loyal best friend who will keep you smiling every day, Kenworth is ready to roll right into your heart! 🐾💕

Meet Carousel!

This cutie arrived with another cat (nursing mom) mid May. They were found in an abandoned house. Carousel was very pregnant. She waited not even 24 hours before giving birth to 5 beautiful babies. All but one has been adopted. Like most mom cats, Carousel is still waiting for her home. She loves attention. She can be chatty at times. Loves people and has potential with another cat.
The cat she came in with, Tutu, is also still available. We do not know how they would get as long.
She’s a little over a year old and has no health issues to note so far.

Two kittens' lives hang in the balance. Both were likely hit by cars. One (black & white), we've named Dotti, was rushed to VCA and is getting emergency care. She seems to be suffering from head trauma, among other things. If she makes it through the next 24 hours, we think her prognosis is good. The other kitten (black), we've named Roadrunner, has a broken pelvis and requires cage rest and lots of care.
The stream of injured, sick and neglected animals seems to have no end.

🥰Attention, kitten lovers! Mark your calendars for Sunday, June 28th! Meet us in Downtown Ravenna at 254 W Main St from 12 pm to 3 pm and meet the kitten of your dreams! This is just a few of the kittens that will be available that day. All kittens will be spayed/neutered, vaccinated (as far as we can take them), microchipped, dewormed, tested for FIV/FeLV, and will receive a free wellness check at a participating vet. All kittens will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. We can't wait to see you there!
