Registered ARBA Rabbitry we breed quality New Zealand, Netherland Dwarf, Britannia Petites, Jersey Wooly and California breed of rabbits. We sometimes have nice meat breeding stock and hopping rabbits.

Meet Hera. The ears look MASSSSSSIVE but I promise Hera is well balanced. Nice rounded ear and full fur and a great thickness already. Hera is my fav. From a type perception Cyclops is probably the best. But the personality on this one is what makes me like him the most.

Over the next few week we will continue to work with the babies on posing to assess type. And so they don't pancake on a show table.

PSA if you are thinking of getting that cute bunny as a gift for Easter....don't. Absolutely do not. Go get a stuffed animal. Better yet take that child to your county fair this summer and they can love on all the animals. They can go home with a medal they won at fair games. You see if that medal gets forgotten or discarded it's not so much of a big deal. You don't have to care for it. It's an object not a living thing.

This time of year is my least favorite when it comes to selling rabbits. I almost don't depending on the person. Easter is right around the corner and so many see that cute baby bunny and its all they see. Nevermind the p**p and p*e. The cage stomping. The biting. The nail clipping. The feed bill. And so much more. Oh and they grow?! They won't be that little forever?! Who knew! And that's when they become unwanted or WHEN it bites because it will. Turns out they're not so easy to get rid of unless you show. So what happens? Discarded into the wild often.🙄🤦‍♀️ Know what you are getting in to before you get into it! Do your research! Talk to breeders! Only when you are fully informed should you then weigh the pro's and con's. It's a lifetime commitment. Their lifetime. Not just when you are done with it.

So what am I doing over in the dwarf end of the rabbitry? Losing my mind further 🫠🙃 ya'll saw Carnage we got while in indiana.The japanese black harlequin buck. Well at msu I picked up a doe Agony (names are from Spiderman. The symbiote). And now I have Beast. Ignore the red eye. Its not his fault lol. This dude has a MASSIVE head and really nice markings! Down the crazy rabbit hole I go even further. Thanks to HC Rabbitry from not only spotting him but messaging me and then letting him hitch a ride back! I'll name his first born after you 🤣

I think it's safe to say that Shimmer is a very happy bunny.

This is a behavior called flopping! Rabbits do it when they're very content, comfortable, and happy in their environment!
