What's Mother's Day entail for a rescuer? We didn't get to sleep in. We didn't get to have breakfast in bed. We got up extra early to do an adoption event with Ebb & Flow Adventures. We rescued another kitten found alone. We cried together mourning the loss of 5 kittens in a week's time. Two of which we lost this morning before even getting to the 10am event. We arranged transport of another kitten to go to a fellow rescuer called Must Love Cats Rescue about an hour away. We don't get days off. But we chose this life. We have this calling deep down inside us that cries for every cat & kitten that we see or hear about. We know if we stop that it's literally a death sentence for some of the animals. Please help your local rescues. They are exhausted ♥️

Trax at the adoption event
Edit to add that the confusion over this ONE temper tantrum for Trax is being taken the wrong way. Trax was not stressed out the entire event. He got excited & wanted out. The rest of the time he was enjoying pets & rubs. We only "cage" our cats during events like this to keep all of them safe & to make sure there's no escapees. We absolutely love & adore all of our fur children. They are not caged in our homes unless there is a medical need for quarantine. We hope this clears up any confusion over the Trax tantrum 😍😻
